No its actually not as bad as I thought tbh, not yet anyway. The devs still dont get much crap for their part in things, I wanna see the video where they argue internally about their diversity chart as the good devs sit in the background to scared of losing their jobs to actually push back on things for healthy debate or to do anything productive with their time instead of argue over the new heros stats on the diversity board rather than how to actually right a compelling diverse character instead of just making the pan character a male mercy or the nb character your stereotypical ambiguous gender character instead of diving deep into the nuances of being nb, it's like rather than giving reaper shotguns and a edgy trench coat for their own take on the reaper, they just gave him the scythe and cloak or instead of making soldier 76 gay batman they just copied the family guy gay character into their game like the entirety of concords character list... because if you ever met real nb people you'll quickly realise they just dont just wanna look like the crazy twitter ones you see online everywhere, they dont wanna erase the things that make them look like a gender, most have preferences and still opt to look like one or the other which is extremely shallow for what overwatch used to do and its because they made a diversity check list and have entire consultant teams that they go over for maximum safety while making these characters... its utterly abysmal and yall still dont talk about how that's ruining overwatch like its ruining 50% of all other games. nah these devs are still ruining the game because it looks the exact same as how concord looked behind the scenes. Or dont even get me started on how the best talents already gone, or how itll eventually probably come out they intentionally go against what the majority of players want so they always have something to fix, or how the devs mock the community, really wish a clip of that happening would come out... if you know anyone who's worked in the field recently, you'll hear stories of them mocking their players and saying they hope this makes them really mad, while the good devs either all leave or just sit quietly there because it's their livelihood. So yea it's actually not nearly as bad as I thought yet, but give it time, I expect overwatch to be dead before they even get 6v6 back in.
This company imo is the perfect example of the inevitable effects of late stage capitalism. No more soul, no more creativity, no more fun, no hope. Just profit, profit, profit
Sam no offense but Overwatch can't even touch Valorant.. in pretty much any capacity. The character design (given the massive restrictions in uniformity for competitive integrity reasons), the map designs, the gameplay loops, the balance, the netcode (there's like 20 noreg bugs back this patch in OW2), the anti-cheat... the list goes on. I mean hell, when my game comes out it's probably going to steal away a lot of OW players (not that I'm even trying to). Overwatch innovated, and did a LOT of things right. But we now stand at the point in time where Overwatch has been allowed to exist long enough, that it's taken SUCH a nosedive.. that it's now successfully managed to do more things WRONG, than right over the course of it's existence. Goats, OWL, Saudi's involvement in OWCS (albeit this is a problem in other Esports as well), the PvE fiasco, the failure of 5v5, the deliberate destruction of OW1's early endemic esports community in favor of big sports money, the list could go on for hours.
I agree with MHA being a fall off for OW2. I mean yeah it's cool to see shigiraki reaper & Ochaco Juno, but if they keep releasing 4-5 skins per collab, and those skins keep going to the same 6 people: then I fear that we are in the endgame for OW2
Blizzard found success in being a company made by gamers for gamers. It's a shame that corporations only hire CEO's that care about maximizing profits to the point of killing their own brands - then they quit and walk away with a bag full of cash
The problem with Bobby koticks vision is its limited,sure hell keep pumping out money out of shitty games but, at the same time less and less people will be interested in blizzards products. You can see this with Overwatch 2, sure they make a shit ton of money out of the skins(Only content in the game at this point) but more and more people will get bored of overwatch overtime but kotick is so blinded by money that he himself cant see that. What im trying to say is its not a self sustaining form of making games

RIGHT!! this game has lost every single thing about it that made it appealing. id feel better if they’d just take the mask off and be a real shitty waifu gacha game instead of pretending it’s a competitive hero shooter. skins are the most developed, advertised, and updated part of this game , not to mention fucking EXPENSIVE!!! it’s pathetic
Yet nothing will be done about this. This is not about Blizzard, but generally how to screw people for as much money as possible. Then they wonder why ppl pirate games. Can we go back to the old days where games were made with passion as a priority and money was a secondary or even less important thing?
Thats just the natural direction for publicly owned companies. We get Cars with subscription services, New Iphone with "Apple intelligence" shipping without the primary feature to meet Quarterly earnings. This needs to happen so your superannuation fund that is playing the stocks can allow you to retire one day. Number must go up.
Btw, this is coming from someone who has mained D.va since season 5 in ow1 (well I was Bronze but eh). I honestly expected Self destruct to be lower considering how easy it is to deny. Also, squishing ppl with Tokki will never not be funny.
Don't ever fucking say PvE is water under the bridge. It was the sole fucking reason for OW 2 to be a thing and Blizzard lied to us. Blizzard should still be held accountable for all the lies they've told the community.
Not one to shit on people or even use the comment section but this guy obviously doesn’t have too much of an idea about every single alt for ONE example. Cassidy‘s dead shot is one of the most fundamentally broken alts if you actually go look on how it works it’s ASS not saying his ultimate is bad. I’m just saying how it actually works and the inconsistencies in it definitely do not make it an and just a couple of a little things. Why is Zen in B? Why is blade D and then we have Bastian? I have used thousands of molten core A HOW😅😅😂😂
