That was friggin awesome guys, can’t wait to see the next series you get to film, that looked like a bit of a challenge and yet a walk in the park at the same time
Nice to see this content from the Yellowstone... I've been in on hauling on a lot of these style of crane moves (from tracks to carbodies to lattice) cross-country and it's a lot like moving drilling rigs in some respects... It'll either go smoothly or become a royal cluster, depending on the pushers, breakdowns and team in general. This crew would be cool to work with (a former heavy-haul coworker went over to JMS, in fact, on the wind side... they've a good rep up in this region)... Better crane operator than one we have that's twice his age (never be a hotshot with a dangerous reputation smh). Good stuff here... Saved the series to watch.

@@jackstephenson5238 Thank you, it's a spectacular place. I know it has nothing to do with the crane aspect but why are there so many round green apparently cultivated patches, seem odd? Never seen round fields before...
@@seapy2398Look up irrigation pivots and you'll quickly see why round is better. The land is very dry in Montana. Its pretty common to see, especially in western states.
@@seapy2398 The ground is very dry out west so they use irrigation pivots to water the crops. These are essentially massive sprinkler systems that pivot around a central point. Thus, the circular shape is the most efficient way to water the whole crop.
what are the dates for this, it looks like may/june with the green hills. it sure isn't current after the july heat we had. i have not driven down that far for a year now, i wonder how far along it is or if it's done already.
When I was working' mechanical there were insanely long hours, exhaustion, anger, yelling, throwing things, and laughter and pats on the back when it was over.
The camera man was all over the place,back and forth,back and forth,and he totally ruined the video. It gave me a headache watching this inexperienced amateur which is a shame because I was looking forward to seeing the last part.
Yeah, the GoPros on a helmet mount get a lot of movement. We're going to try them on a chest mount for the next videos. That should eliminate a lot of the back and forth.
That was a good series. Couldve watched more of the bridge assembly! I liked the way and calmness the shot caller was talkin to Jack. Almost like a Blue Angel in a diamond. Keep em comin!! Be safe !!
