I found WFMU on my Walkman while living with my crazy grandparents in Bay Ridge. It was the only time God ever checked in on me, that I can remember. I must say, it's been a while, God.
Great set. A rare live monochrome set performance with both great audio and video because it wasn't shot from a phone that was too close to the stage to get the full house mix. They're one of my favorites and continue making great new records into the 21st century. Now my one gripe. I wish they would tour/perform with a second guitarist. Sure, Bid handles it all on most of the later recordings but without the combo of the two guitars when they play live, it loses a key part of what makes their signature sound. I know Lester came back for a while and that was great for us old fans. I'd even enjoy it if they synced a recording of the 2nd guitar part for some of the songs. Ooh maybe someone could overdub the 2nd guitar part on some of these songs and upload their versions
Hearing Car wash hair for the first time in 20 years or so, brought back good memories. Never heard of Luna and Looked them up and it seems an indie supergroup, Mercury Rev, Galaxie 500
A great group of people and talent to boot. Each time I have the opportunity to chat with Curt or the band, they always share fantastic humble story of life and adventure. Good conversations and celebration. Cheers! Thomas C. Stuhr 💀⚘
Geez, last time I saw Luna was at the Black Cat in DC in either 2002 or 03.. been awhile! My band through the '90's up until Rendezvous, and 'retirement'
I am really happy I fell in love with the band, Dave’s voice and their peculiar sound, it’s the spirituality that emanated from their songs that drew me to them back in 1984 when I first heard about them. It’s been long lasting love and I think I have fantastic taste in music and men 😂 Look at Dave! who would have thought he would look so good his voice so deep and powerful after 4 decades. I fell in love for life with them. Miss Fletch but I know he’s there clapping at each concert ❤❤❤
My favourite band. Since I was a nipper (as we say here in the UK). Since first hearing Strange Boutique over 40 years ago I still love every iteration of the band as it has evolved/changed over the years.
Islam forbids so many things. Apostates will be the salvation of Islam. God loves the freedom of creation, not the threat of hell for following people who speak for him. God loves DOUEH!!!!!!
