I wonder why a programme this realistic and traumatic is so unknown to the rest of the world, for those who have never seen or heard of it. It left me in a terrible State, even though just as A mental phase after the first series, and to this day, I still wish I had never discovered it.
Even though her and Omar have a complicated relation, he was probably a better brother and a better guy than almost all the other male characters (the other exception is Sarah’s brother. Even though it was not smart of him to send himself the video in the first place and look at it in school (considering bullies. He could’ve at least set a passcode or used face screen lock), his goal was to help Sarah. But he could’ve communicated with her first and ask if she needed help or how he could help, or ask if she’s facing any issues. Or if the issue has been resolved)). Even Omar was disgusted by how Ali (his friend and teammate) dismissed Sarah as just a fling. That shows that even though Omar is embarrassed and annoyed by his sister, at least he has a good side and treats women well, especially valuing his girlfriend. Tasneem was too rash, assuming he’d cheat on her even though he never would.
Honestly Shams was the best character. She was the realest friend and didn’t expect anything in return. In fact, I’d say that Nadeem was fake and only wanted to befriend Shams to get back at Sarah because she “chose” Tasneem over her. She completely ditched Shams after Sarah and Tasneem came back to her and then treated Shams as if she was the true villain all along. Couldn’t stand Nadeen’s character through out the whole season. Shams really deserved better.
