Thanks 😜 I since learned that the boxes were too small for 8 of those drivers, because it turned out that Sony's recommendation for 0.55 cu ft per driver (4.4 cu ft of total airspace) for ported was for 45Hz. After getting BassBox software, it turned out that each driver wanted at least 0.83 cu ft for 30Hz, so I removed half the drivers and blanked off their holes so that each of the now 4 drivers now gets 1.1 cu ft - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_ph3aWeP7vg.htmlsi=6WBUHLujFvTUm4j4 - the final system will have six 8" P5s in two 2.5 cu ft triple-8" boxes (5 cu ft of total airspace).
@@SirFreak I didn't get on well with passive radiators when I tried them. I tried a 6.5" driver and dual 6.5" PRs in a 0.5 cu ft enclosure, but I couldn't get the tuning right, even after trying different amounts of weights on the PRs.
I think I've seen you on the bus lol. if you like trains, I have a "new" 5 month old video I've just made public 😆😝 - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-TIKmGxL2fAE.htmlsi=4wXIKwllsfLO0oYE
They are very nice buses, and yes the new TrawsCymru livery is also nice :) They've now been in service for about 4 and a half months on the T1 between Carmarthen and Aberystwyth. They replaced (on the T1) the 63 reg Enviro300s (some of which had done well over half a million miles going back and forth on the 48-mile, 2+ hour runs, and were showing it, although I did since have Cymru Clipper-repainted 67436 on an X11 from Llanelli to Carmarthen!) I'm lucky to have these on the longer distance bus service I frequently use (living in Aberystwyth, which hasn't had a passenger railway line to Carmarthen since 1965, although its reopening has been looked into and there's a petition and fundraiser). I've travelled on (in the order I first went on them) 65127 4 times, 65132 7 times, 65130 11 times, 65131 6 times, 65128 5 times, 65125 twice, 65126 once (and only short - the irony! I had sat in it at the introduction event lol) and 65129 twice. So I've travelled on these buses 38 times in the 4 and a half months! As well as the E12s being electric rather than Diesel, they also have features the E300s didn't have. Without mentioning all of them, instead of the standard First Bus interior with the bum-sweating fully-e-leather seats and the pink poles, they have a nice new TrawsCymru-spec black/grey (and a bit of red) interior, with half-fabric, half-e-leather seats, and on the back of the seats are the (presumably kinetic wireless) stop buttons (making the bus mostly free of poles), USB charging ports, phone holders with wireless charging, reading lights and fold-down tables :)
Do you mean driver training or onboard crew? I've no idea how train drivers are trained to be honest, guess it would be on simulators or something though
I believe this was driver and guard (traincrew) training, but with the Stadler (manufacturer) banners in the windows and a man with a laptop I believe Stadler were doing tests on the trains as well. TfW have simulators, and I believe most of the Train Operating Companies do, but all operators ultimately have to train drivers and guards on the real trains. These runs went outside of TfW's operating area (Swindon!) because that was the route they could get _paths_ (slots in the working timetable) on. That's OK though, because these runs were for training the drivers and guards to be qualified to work the Class 756, not the route (it's not like a bus licence where you pass in one bus model and can then drive any).
Thanks :) I'll admit my zoom and focus skills need some work 😜 I'll be coming back here once I've retired the handheld phone on the first side and sorted out a fence mount for my second camcorder. And yeah I think 150s are underrated, unfortunately they're seen by too many as "the new Pacer".
Thanks, although it's 2 clips 😜 Warm and windy lol. Having a camcorder with optical zoom on a decent tripod is so much nicer than the grainy wobbly mess you get with a handheld phone, even with the minor vibration. I'll be coming back here once the first side has been upgraded to my second camcorder on a fence mount :)
Great video mate 👍 How often are these running now? Having been away from Aber for some time, it hasn't really been on my radar as much as usual! I'm pretty sure they're in the timetable to run every week (?), just maybe not always activated and ran.
Cheers mate 😜 yeah I think they run most weeks, though this 0330 was meant to be the 1549 the previous day 😄 I still can't work out if I've bumped into you or not lol. Ah have you moved then?
@@RWL2012 don't think so - or maybe I have?! On an apprenticeship, so been down in the cotswolds training for 10 months, now starting on-the-job placements at company bases around the UK.
Thanks :) and nice one 😜 I recommend going to this Pwll crossing spot on the coastal path (the one nearer the tunnel) and on top of the tunnel itself by Llanelli beach. Also Dafen Footbridge inbetween Morfa and Pen-y-Fan. I don't even go to the station lol... I'll check out some of your content soon!
ikr lol 😝 I think the sounders have been replaced with new YA30 ones, but something is going very wrong, at least in night mode. My theory is the method of night mode hasn't changed from the old sounders, like it seems to be a reduction in voltage or something but that just causes these new ones to keep cutting out and resetting.

My theory is the method of night mode hasn't changed from the old sounders, like it seems to be a reduction in voltage or something but that just causes these new ones to keep cutting out and resetting, hence the "beeping". @OWRailUK has a video of them working fine in day mode.
Nice idea to use two cameras - And a nice unintended shot of the 2 birds at the end! Ive turned on notifications now, so I wont miss future uploads 👍👍👍
Thanks :) I'll be coming back here once I've retired the handheld phone on the first side and sorted out a fence mount for my second camcorder. haha yes, I particularly like the jumping bird 😄 perhaps I should've manually taken the focus off the birds though 😆😝 And I really appreciate that and you sticking by me, there's more to come and I'll check out your current/recent videos!
Thank you! It's a 97 and a 37 but a 97 is just a 37 with equipment for the ERTMS/ETCS signalling on this line, so the 37 has to be on the back. Lol yes the thrash just after the locos went out of shot lol 😄 Those broken crossing warning sounds 😝 This is my first video that isn't a phone video or a handheld video. I'll check out your videos sometime :)
@@RWL2012 LOL Years ago I set my tripod up on a footpath that went across a golf course and a guy came and told me to move it. The spot I chose was right in their line of fire.
