My rule of thumb is if it doesn't go between the tines of a fork, it doesn't go down the drain! For fu€|< sake ladies DON'T FLUSH pads and other feminine products down the toilet! I can't tell you how many times I've had to pull toilets because of that!
Master plumber here been in tge trade 20yrs great commentary describing everything and deff take your time ....making this cut an not a job for a helper lessons learned teaching a helper or journeyman and they cut to deep am didn't take thier time ....good work from one plumber to a next an all you homeowners it's easier then it looks an don't call a plumber after you tried to do it yourself you will not get it your first try this is fir experienced plumbers as I My self have made the mistake of in a compacted spot an cut to deep an ruined the threads an if u cut into the threads at all it will leak call a plumber before you attempt this job!
I’m not a plumber but I’ve done this kind of work in my own house and my mother in laws house. It takes patience but tools help a lot. In my life I’ve only called a plumber like 4 times. The last time the guy was a licensed plumber with I don’t know how many years of experience and called himself a “master plumber” but was drunk😂
something to be clear about. garbage disposals CAN be the worst thing in a persons house. it isnt the worst thing for people that understand how to use it. the problem is most people dont understand how to use it and think they can just put anything can go down the drain when they have one installed. this knowledge comes from a plumber/friend who is the best in the business with 40 years experience.
The pipe cut might be rough but trying to tell someone their concrete floor has to be torn up bc of a pipe clog is criminal those other plumbers were just looking to take you for the most money they could
That copper drain line is trash to begin with copper never holds up using it for drain pipe in Florida we run into copper waste arms on commercial applications the life span is very short
Fhack this guy. We puttin banana peels and coconut shells down Dee drain, Boss. That reminds me. Anyone know a plumber in my area? Hardee harr har harrr.
The common misconception is that a garbage disposal can be used as a trash can/garbage can, when in reality you shouldn’t be putting any food down your pipelines regardless if you have a garbage disposal or not. Instead you should try to scrap as much food as possible off the plate into something called a garbage can before washing it in the sink. A positive to this is it saves you money and you don’t have to deal with the plumber displacing all the appliances that you keep in your cabinet under the sink because you’re probably the type of person that doesn’t give them a clean space to work.
I agree 💯 on your statement about educating the customer and selling them what they need not upselling trying to do them right I’m a plumber in Florida 30 years in the trade and there are a lot of crooks and inexperienced guys calling their self plumbers these days
Disposals are absolutely fine. You just need to know how to use them. Who would force a banana peel , egg shells , bones etc through ??? A drill isn't the worse thing you can have only because you drilled a hole through your TV with it.
