My parents owned a place down on the flats back in the 80's with a prime view of this place. It always intrigued me. Didn't realize it was only a few years old at the time. Thanks for the video
This man had a gift for entertaining. I wish people would quit casting disgusting adpersions on him by saying he was a homosexual and other rotton things. Cant we just appreciate his gifts?
The owner hated it, he did it only for his wife who knew this pesky interior designer from Brooklyn who's a maniac doing this kind of design. I know it because I hand made all the draperies in those pictures myself and was there putting them up. I know all that furniture, those rooms, the modifications done to construct that great kitchen (it's not the original) etc...

That huge skylight is beautiful but I can't imagine the heat from the sun in the interior of the house since it's over 100 degrees many days every year
The last time I was in NY was in the 1980s to visit my grandmother dying in the hospital. We got in town late, so my uncle who was living in NY asked if I wanted to drive around, so we were driving around at about 1AM sight seeing and drove past the Dakota and my uncle pointed out thats the entrance where John Lennon was killed which ironically happened just a few weeks earlier.
Tacky and grossly over the top to the point of tasteless. Vulgar seems an appropriate word. Appears to me to be a continuation of Las vegas, (Tacky Town). Definitely a case of money over taste.
I recently visited the Michael Jackson, estate in Las Vegas just this year 2024. The estate has an entirety of the Liberace museum piano collection as you walk in the double doors. Sadly I was not aware that Liberace's wardrobe was housed in the mansion. Not to say that the items we're not there. But during the time of my visit, I did not see any. There was a fashion show at the time of my visit that was featured on the property. I asked for permission to film and take pictures throughout the home. I was granted permission if you are interested I have pictures and video I can send you. I'm a huge Liberace fan, yes, I did visit his the state in Las Vegas same day as well. I do have pictures of the home. Unfortunately none from inside the estate I'm sure you have plenty of the exterior. This is by far the best video i've ever seen, including the intimate moments where Liberace shows off the inside of his home. How did you get all of this amazing footage? I would love to see the walkthrough of his world famous lasagna. Thank you so much for sharing this video by far the best.
I am thinking about going to vegas to check out the Thriller and Liberace's house. I would love to see your photos. Please send them to StrangeHistoryX@gmail.com. Thank you!
The house was paid by Hope's director friends they're all Jewish maybe you didn't know. Well kept secret. Hope was a mason hence the all seeing eye roof design....not a volcano. The architect was a mason too. The symbols say it all. And the egotistical size of this concrete monstrosity is Testament to how money was spent to avoid tax. Hope wasn't exactly the fun loving gentleman we were brainwashed to laugh at in fact he was a philandering menace to his wife who only stayed for the fame and of course the wealth and shoulder rubbing with similar types who let's be honest were just sycophants.
Kashmir is my J-A-M!!🎵🤘🎻👍🎶 Where in the 🌍 world is this video taken? It's pretty😍 there. I'm sure you'd have to be there in person to fully appreciate💓 the scale📏 of that space. Is that a "GW" in that etched square? Could be Ole' Georgie Porgie's initials! Perhaps it's Grant Wood's?🖼️🎨🖌️👵👨🌾......although Wood was a midwestern boy🌽🐄 and this doesn't look like it's filmed in the Midwest (although I do have several sandstone canyons and rain-fed waterfalls 10 minutes from me here in Illinois)....but perhaps WOOD🪵 traveled to this spot to etch his initials in the STONE?😂🪨⛏️😎
Natural Bridge in Virginia. I drove down there in early June. It was awesome. I am not sure what the evidence is that George Washington was there, I think he may have mentioned it himself since he surveyed around the area I think when he was young in 1850, I think. It's an amazing place. Interestingly, Thomas Jefferson owned the land.
@@StrangeHistoryX Cool! I have yet to explore that area of the U.S., but I did spend some time north of there (along I-81) in Harrisburg (& also Hershey) PA. I felt very "at home" there.....and many, many years later, after researching my lineage, I discovered that I had ancestors that had once lived nearby there (in PA). I've wondered if that's why I had that feeling while I was there?
For me, I will always remember liberace as the coffin salesman from the famous black-and-white film "the loved one"... ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-uoZ5dTQa_2E.htmlsi=mh_U2o6a7aoA296M
I think people looked older then because of all the excessive smoking. Everyone smoked back then, and even if you didn't you were exposed to it often. Also, skin care has greatly improved over time.
