Please help me. I’m struggling with the aria dress ! Where am I meant to find bow pieces ? Or the panel for the back if I want bows but no skin showing ? please help 😊
Terrific, clear explanation and demonstration! I watched 4 videos on creating a skirt placket and was thoroughly confused before I watched your video which was so easy to understand. Thank you!
Thank you so much ! I have the Babylock Destiny and my instructional AND inspiration guides didn’t discuss shirring with elastic in detail at all. I wasn’t about to mess with the bobbin tension screw ! I happened to be scrolling and was delighted to see your Babylock crescendo. Your instructions about winding were the ticket-I was way too loose before. I now stretch 1” of relaxed elastic to 2” as I wind it. You are the best!
To add a zipper so we know how to attach to a LINED BODICE... Step 1, go through stuff that easy. Step 2. At approximately 11:44, introduce lining. SKIP IMMEDIATELY to the bodice lining already SEWED IN PLACE AROUND THE ZIPPER so that the video is worthless. Change the title of this video if it isn't actually going to teach HOW to sew a zipper into the garment.
I'm 77 and not that computer savvy. When I open my pattern, I see none of the options on the left of the screen like you show on the youTube. I just don't see the "Layers" file or any of the things your arrow is showing. Can someone help this old lady?
bonjour à vous merci pour votre vidéo très utile .les marges de coutures sont elles comprises ou non?. quelle mesure de tissu qu'il faut? très bonne journée
There are 2 tension settings, please be more specific. As for thread tension, that varies per brand/ type of machine, so everyone has to test different tensions to find their perfect setting. I don’t hand wind the bobbin, I do it like any other bobbin. Changing the bobbin tension should only be done as last resort, it’s tricky, and make sure you take a picture of the screw before you turn it, then take a pic when you’ve found the sweet spot so you can find it again. I loved the shirred dress I had as a kid, so I have been making one, I already did the shirring, now to finish the dress.
But I wouldn't do it at all that way unless adding sleeves to an already made garment. Surely the point of a lining is to make sure you don't have exposed seams. So it would be much better to add the sleeves at an earlier stage.
I was always wondering if it could cut minky... That stuff you used had a super high pile compared to what I was intending on cutting :D Might have to start pricing one soon! Thank you for posting!
