Whatever happened to this bike I enjoyed watching you build it! Wish I could do what you do. There’s just something about building something that you have a passion for.
Being 50 and from the UK this style of chopper is hardly ever seen but is absolute perfection, Ive dreamed of making a chopper with this stance for 20 years. One day hopefully my dream will happen. Fantastic build well done. ❤
@@_Shanespencer_ Got it, if you would sell the bike what price tag would it be? I just don’t have the clue of the price range for custom build like yours? Thanks for the info
Shane, Can you tell me more about the frame? I am working on a build rn but am struggling with a decision for the frame, I have a 79 and not sure if I should just buy a frame or cut and weld a HT on mine.
@@mr_unsane this is a stock 78 frame with a hardtail that i welded on. If you get a weld on hardtail get the vtwin one, much better fitting than this one from throttle addiction
Depends on what your looking to do. If its just a stock engine, the engine swap is easier by far. If your upgrading the engine and making more power, then the axles and other drivetrain parts need to be addressed. At that point, a chassis swap might make more sense. I wanted to keep this truck pretty original and keep its original character and chassis as much as possible. Jf i was starting from the ground up and building piece by piece id probably do a chassis swap
@@_Shanespencer_thanks a lot man, I really appreciate your help. I’ve been looking forward to building a Fummins on a 79 ford so this was very helpful.
I read your forum and it is very helpful. I did have a question on where you got the leaf springs, or what they were off of. Also were they bolt on, or did you have to fabricate fittings?
@@assassin9344 theyre skyjacker leaf springs. The part number is in one of these videos, theyre a 2.5” or 3” lift spring but with the weight of the cummins the truck sits dead level
The handlebars, pipes, oil tank, oil tank tray, sissy bar, foot controls, aluminum dash cover, jockey shifter, seat, and clutch rod were all handmade by me and i also cut and hardtailed the stock 78 frame myself
