servo stabilizer uses an automatic variable toroidal transfomer for regulate the voltage at the output. "Automatic voltage regulator" could be a servo or a solid state (you need to see that on the unit description). If it is indeed a "solid state automatic voltage stabilizer" then it is just a transformer with variable secondaries selected by a group of IGBTs or maybe relays.
