UPDATE: I'm putting this on a separate comment to keep the heart on the original, but I got an announcement from the Discord server! The devs extended the old site's availability to September 17 to ensure the seamless migration of messages (and the transition of the stuff from the old site). They'll officially take down the old site in September 24, so let's hope they successfully execute their plan of fusing it with the new site! :D They also announced some coming soon features. I'll just quote Marie on this one: - Archive Chats: Archive your previous conversations for better organization. - Rename Chats: Personalize your chats by giving them custom names. - Duplicate Chats: Copy conversations to continue them in a new direction without losing progress.
Me, who uses old character ai, was devasted to see that warning, I'm like: "WHAT?" Old character ai is better than the new one- I have to delete message from message instead of deleting it all quickly? Why, just- AA
Imo Character AI is VERY overrated. The chats are boring, you can't say almost anything without the filter warning popping up. The only AI chat app i use currently is Kindroid, you can say anything without restrictions, and the answers are very detailed. But it bothers me that in all of these AI apps the creators are extremely greedy, there is no exceptions. The subscription's prices are unacceptable, it's even worse for people who aren't from USA, it costs way more for us.
As an old Character Ai user, i'm too dissapointed to see that, why do character ai creators do this? I'm agree, new character ai is boring, i prefer the old one, why? I love character Ai, it helped me to make stories with fictional characters (like XTale Chara, who is my fictional and official crush), i hope that Character Ai creators see this and fix that, old Character Ai forever 💖 Greetings from Nicaragua!
This is a bit off topic, but why do people use character ai and other ai chatting apps? Everyone agrees that ai art is wrong, and that we should respect artists by not generating ai art because they know ai steals from artists and their works, but nobody mentions the fact that ai chatting/flirting apps do the same thing except that it steals from writers and their works
As a user of the app, if they get rid of it i will just die bc i have THOUSANDS of messages and storylines that will just be gone... i use c ai for my ocs to get new ideas too
I’d recommend using poly Ai. It’s way better than charcter Ai. I have played both so I ‘now the comparison Comparison of the two: charcter Ai reads your chats, poly Ai does not. Character Ai has a filter, poly Ai does not have a filter
