Okay, seriously. I get that it's a 4% chance of meeting warmech... but geezus... I've leveled up from 83 to 88 and STILL haven't encountered him. What gives? Does he have to found BEFORE you fight Tiamat? Is he on the bridge? Or in the final room?
Wait the kid's name is kain? DOES THIS GAME TAKE PLACE IN THE SAME WORLD AS FF4?! I seriously never once noticed this, and i played the gba version of 1/2 so i've done this fight!
In the FF series, every core game happens in a different world, yet many things are common. For example, there's an engineer named Cid in almost every core game after 3rd. There are chocobos and moogles. Sometimes, even names and concepts are repeated, how for example, there are Garland and elemental fiends (Lich, Tiamat, Kraken, and Marilith) in both FFI and FFIX. Or there are Castle Pandemonium in both FFII and FFIX This doesn't mean FF worlds are connected. It's just an homage or something like that. The only thing that is somewhat consistent throughout the game is Gilgamesh. A warrior from FFV who was banished into the Void and is now traveling through dimensions. And even then, it's not that certain
@@nolanstrife7350 oh things like cid is an iconic staple in the game, im fully aware of that. Im just surprised beyond reason at the potential that this game takes place within the same universe/timeline as FF4 :/
Theory: I believe the Emperor INTENDED to be slain here, as his punishment for what the whole being did while alive. He wasn't lying when he said he intended to fulfil his penance.
I must say the fact that after beating the Emperor he defeats the Devil and becomes King of Hell and then you must beat him again after he gained this huge power... Still a good twist.
I’m playing on PS5, and I’ve already tried a few times to defeat him and failed every time. I think I get him down to half or almost dead and he just starts instantly killing my people. There’s no defending his attacks
I guess u didn't use a guide, there's a strategy to beat the dude in 2 turns or something but I forgot. I'll try beating this without any outside help as well, maybe I can finish it
It's funny you use Flare which only deal around 300 with Maria when you can spam Berserk to overbuff Firion attack. The problem in FF II magic system is buff can be stacked so even when you are still early as long as you survive, you can even damage Dark Flan who have 255 Defense through normal Attack and this strategy also work for boss. Making offensive spell except Ultima on Minwu seems worthless especially the time you put to leveling it
i hear about this game but i never played it and never planned on it; randomly heard this track and holy, this is a good track. gives vibes and memories from multiple great games at once (transistor, gothic, alice, + something unique, ofc, that belongs to the game i guess) this goes straight into my playlist --- p.s. i did the 69th like, weeeeee
The audacity of the Emperor to demand forgiveness after the shit he pulled warrants a kick in the balls so hard everyone from Pandamonium to Arruboth can feel it, even if they don’t possess the parts.
Screw the Pixel Remaster for not having this mode because they wanted to stay "true to the original version" or whatever. Of all the classic FFs (1-6) and their subsequent versions this one had the best bonus content in form of Soul of Rebirth as it actually added something to the overall story. I freaking LOVE the idea that even the pure light form of the Emperor is still a narcissistic egomaniac asshole lol. Also Minwu destroying everything once he gets Ultima feels really good in story context.
So interesting thing i did this final fight. I used Firion (basically as my black mage) spell that absorbs mp (it was at lvl7 spell) and it took ALL of the demon emperor's mp. So he was only hitting me physical dmg, but they hit like a dump truck to everyone but Firion(he took like 500dmg on him but the rest was 2000-4000dmg so lots of healing cycling almost endless for 20 minutes). I kept using elixers (had like 12) so felt endless, till i ran out of elixers. Luckily had like 50 Phoenix downs. So what ended up happening i kept rezzing Maria (white mage) with P down so shed heal Firion as Firion kept using Flare 7 (gave like 900dmg i think) while emperor would heal average 500hp...yeah needless to say the fight was annoying but felt good once i beat him first try
I finally finished FF2 tonight (it was the only one i didnt finish from the classics because i never liked the leveling system) and mu god this boss is hard, i had missed the blood sword, and my only character that dealt damage to the emperor was Firion 1300 HP per turn, and had 7000 hp with all party member but Leon that was 1600, i just wanted to have the emperor cast magic because every melee attack was doing 2000/3000 hp, and cure 16 only heals about 1000hp. My buffs were all lv1 so it was pretty difficult.
Easy boss too bad you still need a MINIMUM lv of 80 to take on Omega/Shinryu any LOWER then that and they can kill you in 1 hit BEFORE you can use ENOUGH AOE Protect/Invisible spells to make that 700+ damage DO less then 100 per turn and you still need like 20+ Tempers in order to damage Omega by MORE then 100 HP/Same for Shinryu.
