I know it’s 4 years later but thank you. I’m just a mum learning to face paint for my kids. The craft and go table is WAY out of my price range! I’m hoping to grab a table of market place.
This video was made so long ago but thank you so much! I love this alternative to a craftngo. One day I’ll be able to afford that but for now, this video and suggestion is amazing!
I'm so happy you could join us and besides this information is still relevant to so many. Camp Kitchens are a great gateway into an all in one kit. I myself have just started back up in the business and have ended up in same dilemma... should i get the craft n go....? Im just not sold yet. i have a possible idea for a new kit coming down the pipe. Stay tuned.
I personally want to thank you for taking the time to share this fabulous idea. After using a tackle box for over a year I just needed a better set up. I dropped my jaw at the $$$ of even the smallest craft n go. Decided to try and create my own using a $30 Walmart suitcase. It did not have hinges and my alterations were a fail. I am now a proud owner of my very own Cabelas camp kitchen. Looking forward to my first gig opportunity to use it ❤️
Im so happy I could help. Im wishing you the best of luck. We've rebranded and would like to start posting again. Any ideas on what youd like to see for future videos? :)
Thank you for commenting, I did stop painting in during pandemic haven’t decided if I’d like to come back to it yet but at least I could start making kits again!
@3:00 just a friendly FYI that edge is crazy sharp be careful to anyone I was being careful and still got a nasty cut wearing the safety gloves which are 5 bucks is a good idea...This is awesome thanks so much for sharing this!
Gap was maybe a paper width, didn’t have issues with anything falling out because I would lay a hand towel across the surface then close. It kept it shut snuggly. Over a couple years the latches can get loose or bent if your not careful.
No unfortunately I don’t sell them setup. The last one I had was a plastic handle and when the handle broke after about two years I got another table and started over, used a lot of what I learned from the first one to make the second one better.
This is an awesome product created by you for face painters . Could you please share the link of purchase this table . I tried as you said by bass pro but this one is not available .
Not under the contact paper on the lid, only on the inside of the case, the side I see while painting. The top of the lid may be slightly magnetic from the sheet metal even thru the board, but it’s only a little, you’d need the rare earth magnets I’d guess. I just used command strips to attach anything to the lid so it pops on and off.
Cabela's/Bass Pro Shops is the other. I ordered this one because of you during Cyber Monday. I'm gearing up for 2022 to get back into the swing of things God willing. I've watched your unboxing and can't wait to trick mines out once I unbox Kwanzaa. Thank you so much and keep the videos coming.
Hi there! I'm taking my Coleman camp kitchen for it's maiden voyage soon, and I still have a few details to finish up.. (I've used your videos for some inspiration, I'll send pics!) But I was wondering, what type of glue did you use to stick on the Velcro to your table skirt? :) Thanks!!
Rebecca Hickman well I used the tougher sticky Velcro for the hook side on the table and then used a sticky backed(loop side) Velcro for fabric on the skirt. The skirt is just a folded(long ways) in half banquet tablecloth. I the just hand sewed it in some spots this makes it pretty thick and heavy so it hangs well and doesn’t blow around much.
Mrs Martin I actually have a water jug that I cut open and hung that off the side of my table for some time... just if I forget it I tend to just have extra magnets and stick tips on the top part of inside lid.
I have the Coleman and the plastic handle broke in a couple of months, like you mentioned. However my husband replaced us with a sturdy leather and it works perfectly fine. I’m planning on adding the metal sheet like you did on your first Bass Pro Table.
Yes!! This is sooo helpfull!!! I’m looking into picking up one of these tables this week along with supplies to convert it to a face painting setup that works for me :) 💕🎨💕🎨💕
Thank you for sharing this setup. Like you, I feel the craft n go doesn't fit my budget. This is a great alternative that I will be looking into. Keep sharing the great content! :D
Rosy Aguilar it wasn’t a brand name but I did pick it up on Amazon. In fact I purchased a “like new/opened” version one, I guess it had been returned but had never been used. It was only $4 for this condition since it was $12 brand new and I was feeling cheap that day, not sure if it was going to work but it worked fine.
Thanks for sharing! I love your kit set up. 😍 I'm just starting to rebuild my kit, so I've been researching reviews and looking at other people's kits, but all of the ones I've seen were way too overwhelming for me. I loooove the minimalistic concept, just have what you need instead of 1000 products only to use 100 lol. I've got OCD, soooo this video was right up my alley with EVERYTHING! 👌🏽 Thanks again! ❤
I have been reading up on this table. What is the Side Divider made of? Seems a review indicated it was "pressed wood" and warped when it got wet. I presumed it was metal/aluminum. Can you verify this? Did it come with instruction manual with all the measurements, etc.? Thank you....just love want you did to this table!
BuffaloMoose BuffaloMoose its the Earth Products directors chair from amazon, I’m in the market to replace it though, the chair seat is fairly deep which is great for adults but not so much little ones. I am also looking at another seat I’ll follow up with those links in another comment.
This is what I may switch to.. World Outdoor Products Lightweight Professional Tall Directors Chair with Side Table, Footrest, Cup Holder, Carry Handles, Side Storage Bag, and Lower Level Storage NET www.amazon.com/dp/B004VZYAF6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_CQ.wDb9DNAMS2
Here’s another option that I know a few other painters use when they have limited space.. Quad Style Tall Aluminum Directors Chair - Black www.amazon.com/dp/B008VDRABK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_MZ.wDbQ9RMYKK
Lula Petry I have a small folding wagon but usually if I’m close enough to someone’s front door or venue door I just carry it in one hand and my chair in the other.
Kimberly McMiller I ended up using contact paper simply for the size, it covered 95% of the case, since the vinyl wasn’t wide enough to cover. I’ve used the vinyl as more of an accent. If you decide to do vinyl I would look for a much larger sheet like for wrapping vehicles. I was just being impatient and had the contact paper and vinyl on hand.
Would like to see you go ahead and put up the other wire rack table just in case as an option to use it. Thanks I really like learning about the camp table as I have seen people use them and was curious about them Love your video!
victory always Yes close to 40 pounds. I pull it in a wagon if I’m walking more that 50 yards to something. Wagon fits neatly under it though and then it’s extra storage.
Thank you SO MUCH for this. I looked at a camp kitchen a few years ago, but kept letting the thought go. Then I kept thinking about the craft n go but honestly could not get past the price because it still didn't really seem deep enough, or all in one enough. I am considering one of those drone cases (with wheels) and a roll up camp table which is still on my list. But this video makes me want to go back to the camper idea, specifically this bass one (that door is everything! you could magnetize that as well for stuff). Could you add wheels to it do you think? Also, how tall are you? I am 5'9 and find a lot of the tables to be too low for standing.
RealCheeseOnly I’m 5’8 and I think it’s just the right height, the Coleman is actually just barely a half inch taller though. As for wheels, I use a wagon for myself, just throw the chair and kit in there for the longer walks. Otherwise I carry it. I assume wheels could be added, but I imagine they wouldn’t be very functional.
