either the song doesn't have mid animations or you chose the wrong song for it "the background can also be wrong thus it won't work" Mechanics : just check if a yellow warning sign is on a level's title "if it isn't in any song enable mechanics"
If you play mmm in pc and clicked with mechanics in accident, just change the up keybind to j so if you see like that js press space! :D (not me telling that while i cant do mechanics in mmm) anyways thats all i have to tell
