Thank you, Alton, as always letting know about the meaningful folks and their works in the great City of LaGrange. What Kwasi and Stacey are doing, as leaders and examples, is so important right now. You are ahead of the curve--I live in CT, and my city could learn from you. Your work on behalf of your community is truly outstanding and inspirational. "Let your food be your medicine and your medicine be your food," so said Hippocrates. Through healthy food, you are making a difference. LaGrange is where my husband and I plan to retire! We grow vegetables here in our "yarden" and at our church, providing food for a monthly pantry at the Temple down the street from our church. Native Americans believed in living in a way that provides for the next 7 generations. You all are doing that! City Week is a wonderful community resource. We don't have anything like it where we live. I think LaGrange is the right scale in size, and every time we visit, we are so impressed. All the best from your fans in Norwalk, CT!
Amazing man..he my moi and dad and grandfather, etc were very close 😮.. we are so wealthy in heritage. He went to bat for us all my mother told her that the car and went to Erica kite with him too Mary Frances heard on here I am so happy all their memories will not go void we are a special group of people from downtown
Good luck Bill!!! The more you build, the more they will come!! "If you build it, they will come!" Both the good and bad... you can't just have good...
My husband and I are visiting LaGrange next week, and so excited to be back in this wonderful community. These City Council meetings are much more interesting, sincere, and engaging than where we live in CT.
Look at some of your very own officer's that own and are in that slum category!! Should be an ethics violation for any executive member of the city to conduct business with family-owned businesses. Was there a bid for services for marketing at Sweetland?
I find it so strange that there is no mention of the slaves there or their history. My great great grandfather was mickleberry Ferrell jr., whom had a child with my great great grandmother(who was a slave there). Mind blowing to see how very important history is left out when speaking on these gardens.
