You should also mention that there should be at least some water in the pool before doing this, preferably half way or so. otherwise if u do this before adding any water the opening will stretch when water is pumped into the pool. liked and subbed regardless!!
@Royal Swimming Pools - Please redo this video showing the proper installation of the skimmer. Butterfly gasket covers BOTH the liner and pool wall. Leaking will occur if installed as shown in this video.
These light bulbs are up to a $1,000 to replace and ours worked less than a year. they fill up with water after awhile and stop working. The company hasn't bothered to fix these faulty expensive lights and continue to sell these crappy lights to unsuspecting buyers!
I am a 44 year old woman on disability and I just put a skimmer , an upgraded jet , and a new pump on my pool by myself . And I siliconed around the new additions. If I can do it anyone can
Turn off your pump. At the top of your filter housing there should be a little black knob, maybe the size of a nickel. Open that knob to release the pressured air in the system. Don’t take the knob all the way off, it’ll shoot into the sky and you’ll lose it. Just loosen it enough til you hear air coming out and wait til the air sound is all gone. Once you clean the filter and put it back in the housing don’t forget to close the knob again.
My instructions show that the inside of the butterfly gasket should contain both the wall and liner, rather than have the gasket over the liner. But I'm nervous to cut the liner first.
Hey how much for 20x40 inground concete pool in NC with just the pool and fence could you give me a eastmite sence you work with stuff like this I got a 100,000$ budget.
We have the EXACT skimmer model he shows installation for and we just looked at the manual. It CLEARLY states that the rubber gasket goes over the steel wall but OVER the liner. 1. CUT LINER FIRST. 2. THEN, INSTALL GASKET OVER BOTH. Don't make our mistake-water leaked out from the inside DOWN past the liner and onto the inside of the pool wall. NOT GOOD and the very reason you're supposed to do the above. Not sure where this guy gets his training but it is OPPOSITE the actual manual for this exact skimmer. Please learn from our nightmare.
This was my thinking too. I'm literally about to install our skimmer, and the instructions show that the inside of the butterfly gasket should contain both the wall and the liner. It only makes sense...
THIS VIDEO IS WRONG. THE PLUG SHOULD BE ON THE OTHER SIDE, THE TOP, NOT THE BOTTOM, WHEN YOU SCREW THE STAND ON. EVERY OTHER VIDEO THAT I LOOKED AT SHOWS THAT THE PLUG SHOULD BE ON THE TOP AND THE STAND SCREWED IN ON THE OTHER SIDE, ON THE BOTTOM.
Great video! Just installed my aerobic septic….which was easy af. Now gonna dig my pits, who love water, their own natural pool. Don’t mind the holier than thou losers who are dreamers….not doers. These commenters wouldn’t know how to put actions to their ideas if they were motivated by Tony Robbins
