Not a good idea to stick your head over that. My old jaw crusher is half the size and it can toss a pretty good size chunk now and then. I have a safety cage over mine to protect operator.

I ran a crusher at a quarry that was big enough to crush a rock the size of a VW. It had a backhoe boom with a big jack hammer to break stubborn rocks. I could watch that thing work all day long. Truly amazing.
it drops through the grizzly bars and either onto a Side Conveyor or back onto the main belt depending if a Clean Product or an All In Product is required. Its Screened off to improve Crushing efficiency
No safety guard and your head right above it.. great choice. You could of tripled your production sizing it all first. Jaw crushers are usually made as a choke type wich means more rock is better. Waisted alot of time and money not braking it down first

Thank you, thank you, thank you for not turning the camera away when the giant rock came along! Too many crusher videos do that, perhaps because they think it puts their crusher in a bad light when it doesn't immediately crush it. Au contraire!
I operated a 225 tph crusher while in Vietnam. We took a "tooth" from a front loader and attached it to a length of wire rope. Tooth on one end a loop on the other to grip. When encountering a stubborn rock, we would lower the tooth between the rock and the jaw...rocks never had a chance.
@@TsunauticusIV It seems like he just copied that comment and pasted it to get a response. He doesn't seem like a bot but the RU-vid comment section is always fun which is filled with trolls, psychopaths, bots, bot-like humans, human-like bots, cryb*bies, etc.
