The lack of emphasis on training top speed is wrong. Training top speed trains and indirectly increases speed endurance. It also trains indirectly to increase acceleration. It also increases the length of time you can accelerate instead of only 4s maybe even upto 7s. It also increase speed on flying start. It also trains running faster in an upright position instead of a leaning forward position. Most soccer players control the ball upright. Also top speed training increases plyometric power. Your feet needs less time on the ground to create force this helps with getting quicker feet at high speed ball control.
Cool but not enough time with ball. Ajax is good but not the best in the world. Not as good as Bayern, PSG, Real Madrid, Liverpool, Chelsea, Man United.
@@jeroenvanbeek5744 Not saying it's bad, I was just expecting not so much fitness per se. It looks more like how Americans would approach training. Emphasis the physical aspect. It seems also maybe they don't emphasize creativity. Every team has a style. I doubt Barca trained this much without the ball, could be wrong I guess, but from what I know about them it was mostly work with the ball. Pep always wanted them with ball. And Barca was good not by purchasing stars, though they did some, but Messi was and Iniesta and others came up through their academy. I think there is no right or wrong approach. Different styles can be effective. But I think about this a lot because I have a 7 yr old. And I got back into soccer late in age after a hiatus and then did a lot of analyzing. I have my own unique approach to training. My focus is on ball control and also on reacting to the opponent. I guess it is a bit like Coerver, but deeper and with more creativity.
@@nofurtherwest3474 In this 2 part video they claim that players like De Boer , Davids , Kluivert and Seedorf are the endresult of this program (which is bullshit because Van Gaal introduced it in 92 when they were already full grown besides Kluivert) instead it produced players like Hosé , Schulp , Knopper , Turpijn and Splinter . Yes nobuddies ... Kluivert , Davids etc are all Cruyff products , not Van Gaal/TIPS
@@Irritant1000 I am refining my system. Please tell me what you think. At a high level I break soccer movements into: 1) the bio-mechanical aspect (no ball, just body movements) 2) the bio-mechanical movement with the ball 3) the context - reacting to the situation that determines the movement a player should do. So now I am trying this on myself and with my kid. I think you have to have all 3 to excel. Most kids just go right into practicing a movement with the ball, which is ok, but will not develop one's full potential. And when they get into high pressure they get stuck, because they haven't practiced the move in a pressure context, just alone.
@@nofurtherwest3474 Its pretty much about repeating over and then they will get out of the pressure . Also play as much as you can on the streets practicing functional tricks and kicking the ball . Zidane as a player is the perfect example as well as Bergkamp . They all can do 3 very well because of their street experiences . And yes dont put pressure on him at all otherwise he will lose the passion for it.
