I honestly agree with Brennan's assesment of his own capabilities to excell on Survivor; he'd have a great shot to win every season, if only he didn't have to be outside for 26 consecutive days.
8:45 in the video Brennan is talking about ADHD medications and how Izzy told him it would "do nothing for you because people take the medication to be like you." That is a very false statement and common misconception. The way a person with ADHD's brain works is different then a "normal" person. The medication does the opposite effect for us, allowing our minds the chance to slow down and rest. A metaphor I like to use is the way a person with ADHD perceives stimuli is like a camera without a lens. There is light getting through, but there is no way to actually process it into usable information(i.e. an image). ADHD medication is the lens upon the camera, allowing the user to focus on individual stimuli.
First of all, I can’t remember her name but the black girl that has the blonde hair at the start… her and Aabria are two absolute GODDESSES! Dayum! But of course there’s not one woman on this campaign who doesn’t deserve the world. Sweet God! 😭😭😍😍😍
Me as a neurodivergent man who loves crows and munches on raisins and graham crackers who monologues and knows too many birds - I feel Brennan on a personal level (Also Brennan means raven in Irish Gaelic)
I wish I had Brennan's mom, because it would've been nice to have been treated as anything other than a threat to my parent's egos. I wouldn't have learned and taught myself that in order for me to be liked, I'd have to pretend to be someone else. It really just goes to show how positive and encouraging parenting is the only parenting that's required for your child to succeed.
0:23 that’s my friend in Spanish. She’s incredibly competitive and will actively ask if something is a grade even though it’s not or do things in class because she can get pesos. During a week long competition our team won by a lot(we had 46 and second place had like 20) and even though she wasn’t there on the last day our team still won(and we’re in first place the whole week) because of how competitive she was and we knew there was no chance we didn’t at least get second place.
Obviously I would never pretend to be able to diagnose someone because of their internet persona, but what I will say is every story about this man’s personal life and childhood deeply reminds me of my adhd/autism family and friends
I don’t think the crows are sitting on ant hills to trip balls. The crows do this to be cleaned by the ant colony. I do like his interpretation better though.
I am a bit like him, when I gotta play a game I gotta win it or contribute enough that I am satisfied with my own performance, otherwise Imma be mad at myself. Yet I also believe the purpose of a game is to relax and enjoy, so I usually stay away from games that can make me sweaty and may piss myself off lmao. My friends get that so they only play competitive games with me if they want the atmosphere to be serious and everyone trying their best, otherwise we just chill.
