All about life's adventures - hiking, travel, taking care of our woodland and garden, and just sharing about life. Hello, I am a Filipina living in the mountain state, wild and wonderful, West Virginia, USA.
@pinaylifeinwestvirginia it gives me vibes of my Great Aunt's property, off Georgetown Rd. in Vandalia, if you know where that is. One of the last relatives I know well in the area. Miss it very much. Been 10 years since I've been there.
@@memoriesbywayne wow 10 years is a long time. I remember I waited 10 years to go home to the Philippines after I came here in the US, a lot was changed. I have never been to Vandalia, it is the first time I heard about it :)
@pinaylifeinwestvirginia not even sure it's an official town. In between Weston and Buchannon. Had a beautiful view of Skin Creek and not far and not far from Stonewall Jackson Lake. I'll find a good pic. Even though I wasn't on RU-vid then I did have Facebook. :-)
Cây cầu trong rừng thật đẹp ,để xây dựng được cây cầu ở địa thế này rất là khó .rất vui được theo chân bạn đi ngắm thiên nhiên ,cảm ơn bạn đã chia sẻ bạn thân mến .
Hello. This video posted 10 days ago, and I am your very first like/thumps up. :) However, you have three comments already so I am your fourth comment. :) Thanks for sharing.
@@FelyDalauidao I used to live and work around that area for more than 10 years before I moved here up north. Maraming pinoy in that area. Hope you get to meet them
@@FelyDalauidao don't worry marami dyan and most of them are friendly. as soon as makita ka nila sa stores, they will ask you if Filipina ka :D. Anyways, if makapasyal ako dyan someday (kung ma invite sa party), I will let you know and I'll tag you along. Dito sa bagong area na nilipatan ko, mahirap din makahanap ng mga pinay.. same tayo LOL
There is nothing like the sound of moving water and the local birds in the background Is there any dangerous wildlife on the trails that you need to aware of/watch out for? I definitely would of sat in those rocking chairs & cross stitched a while 😊
I agree, sound of water and birds are just soothing for me. You know what, you just gave me an idea. Maybe I’ll bring a cross stitch project that is simple and I spend a few minutes to stitch while enjoying the waterfall. Cross stitching in the waterfall, that would be interesting. I haven’t encountered any dangerous wildlife yet but here in WV, maybe black bears but I haven’t encountered any yet. Also, snakes yikes. Thanks for watching
Love the happy birds background too.. lately they are not happy I’m out because I am so close to their nest :) I sometimes think they screamed at me every time I walk around my garden LOL. Thanks for watching.
First of all, thank you so much for watching. This is a big surprise for me, thought it’s just my family watching.. I have never been to KY. I would love to visit there someday especially if it feels and looks like WV. Any nice place to visit that you can recommend?
@@MariaceliavlogsI think I came across it because I like to watch other people in Appalachia ... Oh! You should go to the Red River Gorge, it's my favorite place in KY and I bet y'all would like it. There's big rock formations, and world class rock climbing if you're into that. And it's just pure natural KY beauty, woods and mountains! I go there at least a few times a year to wander about and it's always a great time
Picture perfect with the sun, snow, and creek winding through the hills. Love it! Most of the times my family would travel to WV wouldn't be snow season.
@adventureswithcelia we've been having some real nice weather out here this winter. Glad you've been able to get out for some fresh air. Long as it is not below zero wind chill I love to be outside. :-)
Thank you very sharing this video. It brings back many good memories. My Grandma lived in Weston and we used to visit twice a year until she passed away about 20 years ago. I have subscribed and look forward to checking out your other adventures. You have a very nice voice as well. :-)
Thank you for your comment. I’m sorry it took my awhile to respond. I thought no one is watching my videos but you inspire me to get back creating videos. I am sorry about your grandma but I am glad it brings back good memories. Thanks for subscribing as well.
@adventureswithcelia I will definitely be watching! Your adventure brought me great memories. And I look forward to seeing where the next adventure takes Celia. :-) And can't wait till the day I can finally vlog Weston as well.
Great footage. I love Harper's Ferry and this video sort of takes me back there, thanks! I've subscribed to your channel in order to keep u with your hiking videos!
I'm sorry for the delayed response.thanks for subscribing. I hope you are still subscribing even when I seldom made hiking videos. My hiking buddy/best friend moved to the other state so I seldom do hiking anymore. But I still have some footages from our hikes that I need to edit and publish. I appreciate your time leaving a comment

Orr's Farm Market in Martinsburg, WV. Too far away from you but if you plan to visit Washington DC you can stop by here. Here's there website so you can check when they will have the next cherry picking. orrsfarmmarket.com/
Hi Chris. I am sorry it took me so long to reply. I've just found this comment. I already forgot the exact amount we paid but we paid round trip it was more than $1k for a Romette. I think it is cheaper if you just get the seating accomodation. It also comes with a dinner and a breakfast. This was many years ago so it is best to visit amtrak.com for their current rates. It was a unique experience.
