Soapy water can be used to wrap larger surfaces, one needs to let it dry first before the application of the film, it helps to reduce the tackiness of the adhesive. You can also use soapy liquid on the film, in this case it helps the squeegee slide and you can avoid wrinkles and adhesive lines
I actually like seeing him fix some of the hiccups he made on some of the corners. I don't like seeing wrappers do everything perfect because then you won't know how to fix a problem when you try it yourself
Thanks for the videos, I'm starting to PPF my 2024 civic type r. I just did the rear quarter panel and solid 7/10 in my opinion. The rest should be.better.

I've been watching your videos off and on for a couple of years now I'm going to do my first rap next month but it seems that there was a bit of a contradiction when you were wrapping the hood emblem because the previous mistakes that you corrected with blue lines you just simply reheated them and then was able to fix them without any problem why couldn't you have done that with a blue line that you showed us next to the hood ornament
Hi Guys, you wrapped the roof of your Mini Cooper with the color I'm looking for, can you tell me what brand the foil is and what the color code was? thanks in advance Marek
Greetings, the adhesive lines are due to 2 factors, first, overheating (temperature of the surface, the room, the material), heat activates the adhesive, makes it more aggressive, second pull ups and angles, avoid rapid movements and repositioning as you already squeegee the surface and keep the film at the low angle to the surface. Larger panels should be wrapped by 2 people, creating a glass surface
Watch alot of your vids very helpful and informative 👍 just wrapped my mk5 gti in teckwrap cerulean blue. Do you find that teckwrap taks a bit more aggressive? Cheers
Not all antenna are same.. mine has a lot more surface on rear. I ended up 2 piecing mine as a first timer and took probably 3 hours 😂. I suggest for large pieces use rapidtac spray (wet method application). That's how I easily did my hood and roof by myself
@@Minicoup58tv I can now do it by myself, and usually on the first try, but I've gone through A LOT of vinyl to be able to do it. Having a helping hand is definitely a plus!
