I admire and have been a long-time fan of Steve Perry, He's a very gifted/talented man. Comment on the remark, " come back", I say come back from what, he never left. His talent has always been there.
I saw Air Supply at the Metro Centre, here in my hometown of Rockford, IL, in September of 1981, and, after that show, Graham met his future wife, Jodi, backstage. She's a Rockford native, and I believe they're Still married! 8-)
Matchbox’s first album was released the year I was born and all of growing up I listened to them and to this very day I can go back and listen to them like it was the first time. I have seen them twice and it’s also the beat show I’ve ever been to. Rob and the bands connection with the audience is unmatched by any. I enjoy a good show with interaction and he bring that everytime. I’m so glad he still loves doing what he does for us because it makes life just a little bit better
I had the privilege of meeting Steve in 2019 at a private event and I love hearing his stories and his sense of humor is off the chain. I could listen to him speak all day every day. He is also a very beautiful, humble and generous person. When he talks to you he leans in and is totally engaged! It is still the best day ever!
Steve, I have a question. I was listening to you and Jim talk about editing your audio and you mentioned that you have to decide sometimes if you want to use the sound of say, the drummer, from the drummer's perspective. Why would you choose to mix drums in from the drummer's perspective? Just curious...wouldn't it always be from the audience's perspective?
When Perry released Traces which to me is a very poignant and introspective records it would have been cool if he went out and did a few acoustic shows to promote Traces however now its too late with this Plandemic at this stage because of so many issues now
