2:16 Ah man, if only Hartnell could've said that for real. So sad he could only make a minimal appearance due to his health. I know Hurndall and Bradley were respectively cast to fill Hartnell's shoes after he passed away, but does feel a bit heart breaking when they both say "I am the Doctor, the original you might say.". Mainly cuz Hartnell never got to say it himself. But this is close enough.
I had the pleasure of meeting John Levene at a Doctor Who convention in the late 1980s, and he was an absolute joy. It''s so good to hear his voice again.
Big Finish needs to get either Siobhan gallichan or John guilor to voice the first doctor in the upcoming first doctor adventures box set. If they are going to set the stories after the savages and before the war machines.
Doctor Who was having a rough time during Colin Baker and Sylvester McCoy's tenure as the doctor, the ratings were sinking, the higher ups from the BBC at the time only had interest in producing hospitalised soap dramas, adaptations of Shakespeare plays and reality TV shows.
I'm hoping she returns as in doctor who on TV. I wish Ben Aaronovitch and Andrew cartmel wrote for the revival era of doctor who this is what the new series has been lacking recently. I hope they wait for the call.
If Billy had been in better health, this is as near to how the scene would have played out, although I suspect that Pat would've still adapted his lines to a rough approximation of his part of it, with Jon being the only one that would've stuck to the script. Odd use of music from Carnival of Monsters I think I heard and a bit from the Randall and Hopkirk Deceased series too if I ain't mistaken. All nit picking aside, good work and nice upload. Always lovely to see a What if.
@@robertroy92 I wish Ben Aaronovitch and Andrew Cartmel can write a story or two for the revival era of doctor who I think this is what the revival era of doctor who has been lacking recently. I do appreciate what Cartmel wanted to do with the series he wanted to take doctor who into a more grounded and realistic direction and it's his talents were wasted

If only. I'm glad I found this I was looking at footage of Hartnell in one of his last jobs before he retired, he still manages to give a good performance and I wished he'd been in better health when they did the Three Doctors enought to appear in at least a couple of scenes with Pat and Jon.
How To Make Changing History Safe 1. Invent time machine. 2. Travel to 23rd century. 3. Invent probability changing machine to make probability certain that changes to history are only changes forever.

That music you used for the First Doctor's theme... it was from "Randall and Hopkirk (Deceased)", wasn't it? Either way, it fits the mood of the scene.
Doctor Who was having a rough time during Colin baker and Sylvester McCoy's time on the series. The television networks at the time starting to become interested in producing soap dramas and reality TV shows because they were starting to become big things at the time
