Crystal Creek Proformance LLC shows ya what we get done, along with some of the shenanigans along the way. I own the blue outback, if you don't already know
Hey man! I like your Outback! I have a manual, Diamond Grey Metallic 2008 OBXT Limited. It's literally the best daily in the world! She's bone stock aside from a couple of Nameless mufflers, but she'll get some very tasteful upgrades and lots of maintenance love. I plan on keeping her forever. Sub'd to your channel. Cheers!
@Holmesson the 3rd generation outbacks are definitely the best! And feel free to reach out if you have questions or anything. This was my1st/2nd outback. Had 2 mad 1 good one. Definitely keeping forever as well!
i'm surprised,, been to audio comps where spl systems get over 150, almost 160db. i figured a stupid lopey cam v8 would get up there too. where are you guys measuring from, 1m?
Audio comps are much different though. Even a huge engine has nothing in comparison to the amount of air several big subs move, so an exhaust is never gonna be as lound becauseboth of them have to move X amount of air to make X amount of dBs and car audio has every advantage
@kmsdaily that's very correct. We have an audio car at the shop, should I make a post about it? He's 160db compared to us at 115db. It's a major difference
Yeah, a stock auto trans is good to about 400whp, then with a valve body you can make upwards of 500 to 600. On a manual trans, they blow up around 350whp. It's a drag car, I don't want a slow manual....
@ethanmartin4366 I'm currently 300whp, limited by fuel and turbo size... but yeah stocks 250 on 2005 outback xt limited. A simple Google search will tell ya
Which is the old and which is the new? I saw your ad for the el header on market place. Looking for the sound clips you mentioned. Thanks, and cool build 👍🏻
So the new exhuast is the one of me getting on the hwy, all the other clips are the old exhuast setup. And thank you it's been a long journey but very fun and frustrating 😂
@@That_OutbackGuythat’s cool, I’ve been into these cars since they first came stateside, took a break from them for a while and picked up an 03 wrx wagon last year 100% stock. Lol started tuning on it after going through the suspension not thinking the motor needed much attention and blew out one of the boost control solenoid lines and spiked to 24 lbs a few times 😂 needless to say I’m about to pull the engine for head gaskets! So I can relate! It’s a project car but still was t ready to be forced to jump right back in! Anyway, I was thinking about doing a set of equal length headers since I am switching to an sti oil pan set up, and I saw your ad pop up. So the original set up was a good bit quieter? Than the killer Bs? Any warpage on the CNT flanges? Or problems with leaks? Thanks! Trey
@treystoys oh man I'm so sorry to hear that, hopefully from here on out the build gets better and better! And I didn't have any issues with warping or anything. I ran it for about 6 months, 3 being in the winter. And had no leaks or warping. And yeah I accidently hit 23.4lbs of boost on my car and yeah I had really bad fuel cut. So we kept it at 19 to stay conservative
@@That_OutbackGuyGot me. Still it’s probably a catback from a WRX they’re trying to fit. My guess judging from the length is a hatchback WRX. I’d just chop it and add a section of pipe in after the resonator to try and push the res further up the car to see if it would fit and also connect on both flanges.
Of course it needs to be modified. If you had the right equipment to do exhaust work those issues could've been fixed in less time than it took to film this. I guess the title is accurate tho. Ive heard mechanics say worse things but not many.
It was a fb marketplace buy, someone said it would fit a 05 outback xt. Turns out it was meant for a legacy sedan, and not a wagon. But yes we ended up fitting it to the vehicle with minor modifications
