Funny, a study by TUFS University has found a link between a grain free diet and canine dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM). So, a grain-free diet for your dog is out of the question. Do your research.
Funny but not funny...FDA finally had to admit there was no actual link. You never provided an update to your comment admitting that. Having done my research for years primarily using FOIA law, it's abundantly clear in government emails and records how FDA can and often does act on behalf of major grain based lobbying groups. To try and use TUFS University as a play when the veterinarian in charge of that entire scam promotes grain based dry pet food...maybe spend a few years filing FOIA requests and doing your research. That TUFS veterinarian isn't even brave enough to go on camera, or even have a conversation on the phone, to discuss her "research" and "link". I've tried for years. That speaks volumes!
Not all the veterinarians are innocent victims of the pet food industry. They make money selling Hill's pet food and surely they understand that corn waste and meat by products are not good for dogs and cats long term. Most veterinarians are not that intellectually impressive which tells us that getting through vet school mainly just requires memorizing and then parroting the official narrative of the AVA which is partnered financially with big pharma and the big pet food companies.

But they don´t have to. Dogs like Mice are omnivores. And the biggest study ever on human diet and diseases, the China study prooved its hypothesis on mice. The hypothesis was: Even when being fed the strongest carcinogens, cancer can only manifest, when animal proteins and fat (= meat&dairy) are consumed. There have been numerous studies that pets on a purely plant based diet live healthier, and more importantly MUCH longer. Inform yourself and don´t be fooled, even by veterinarians (who know as little about nutrition as human physicians (not part of the curriculum). I had an eye opener with my first dog who died after her liver was damaged by poisen. Having a weak liver and kidney the Vet ordered some special diet food and when you looked at the ingredients it was plant-based (even though it didn´t advertise as such). AND THIS confirms another study on mice who were fed animal based or plant-based foods. Both groups of mice grew in the same speed but the plant-based group outlived the other which died of liver and kidney issues. There is a whole world of plant-based pet foods outhere that still is soy free and wheat free (mostly with pea or potato protein), contains all the nutritional needs of your animal companion AND for which no other animals have to suffer and with a much smaller eco-footrint. IT´s NOT TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE BECAUSE AND YOUR BELOVED COMPANION DESERVE TO AND CAN HAVE IT ALL!!

I do not have anything to do with any legal actions taken by Kure or Answers. My job, my passion, is helping dogs and cats through holistic nutrition and supplementation. If Kohl had called asking for help with a pet, I could have answered his questions. Instead, he pursued a conversation that involved something much more complex and beyond my work, a personal family dispute. You should have went to the trial and witnessed how this company you're taking up for is bullying innocent people. You're wrong in that "we don't have all the FACTS." So I would argue he doesn't have all the facts. I believe you all don't WANT the facts out there. I would actually love to have many more public discussions on this very issue of honest farmers being harassed, and their entire livelihood being threatened. Fact is, Keith Hill is suing independent farmers he has no exclusive contracts with. Keith Hill does not want these independent farmers to milk goats, milk cows, and sell their goats milk or keifer products on the market. They have a right to make a living, and not work for whoever they wish. I will stand against injustice. It is not okay to try and take away the livelihood of honest farmers, and shame on you and all the current employees at Answers who are okay with ruining the lives of honest, independent farmers.

On that note via the public trial if you wish to research this more in depth via the court records you can independently obtain and read, Roxanne Stone stated something to the effect of "We lost trust in our leadership because he's fleecing money from the company. It became so dysfunctional. We tried for over a year to stop him and get him out of leadership." However in relation to the independent farmers, they appear to be the true individuals that are being bullied here. Again... facts: No exclusive contracts. Derrick Hill stated under oath that there weren't any active contracts with the farmers. So why is Derrick Hill & Keith Hill trying to take their livelihood away, FOREVER? The true shame here is on that. Why did the attorney for Derrick Hill and Keith Hill continue to threaten the farmers, saying he's going to sue them individually? Are Keith Hill and Derrick Hill and others so incapable of operating their company, their only potential pathway is to continue to try and harm independent farmers that no longer wish to work for them due to their potential incompetence? There's so much wrong here, and the shame to be had is on those spreading falsehoods, including Jesse. Stating "Kure sued first", which is untrue. Stating I "don't have all the facts" when there has been an extensive trial, in which Answers had 12+ days or so to present their "facts". Answers appeared to not have sufficient evidence for so many of the claims they made when I was viewing testimony. Jesse states he "knows nothing about" the trial, which gives question as to why he is making such claims that myself and potentially others "don't have all the facts". Has he been providing false information to any customers or retailers?
This is so unprofessional. You call the sales guy, because you know he’s going to answer the phone. Ask the right questions to the right person. Jesse isn’t it. This tells the general public nothing other than there’s some serious personal issues going on here that affects animals (recent shortages, no products) and if everyone involved cared so much about animals they would have worked it out long before this blow up. This company with Keith as CEO is actively looking to take away the livelihood of several people and farmers, who they do not have ANY EXCLUSIVE CONTRACT WITH. That was discussed publicly in court. Specifically, Keith and others in the company seem to be aiming to keep these farmers OFF THE MARKET, FOREVER! These farmers have a right to produce food for who they wish, or make food themselves. They have a right to not want to work with Keith Hill, if they're not in any exclusive contract with him. For members of this company to try and ruin their lives as a result is uncalled for. It is important to understand what Jesse's stance on matters are, especially given Keith Hill and Derrick Hill's refusal to speak publicly. I said nothing about caring for the person you're talking about. I'm well aware of what went on and am a client of Kure. You miss the point of my comments entirely. This guy has nothing to do with the legal team of Answers. His job is going to retail stores and educating them about Answers pet food. He has nothing to do with getting PPP loans or any of the legal situations Answers is now involved in. The interviewer acted like a total jackass. The guy answered the phone at the dog park and the interviewer started attacking him like he has something to do with unleashing covid-19 on the public. The interviewer knows that this man has nothing to do with the questions he asked. He just wanted him to slip up so he could use something he said out of context. The interviewer was rude, nasty and over-the-top. He doesn't care about truth, he's just trying to make a sensational video. He ought to be ashamed of himself, you don't treat other people that way. Two wrongs don't make a right and the only thing that this employee of Answers did wrong is not hanging up on the jerk interviewer as soon as he started getting attacked. It was obvious from the get-go that this is not a legitimate interview, it was an attack-piece from the start.

It comes across to me as: 1) Obviously Keith won't answer the phone or provide any transparency (this is my personal experience with Keith as well). In an attempt to learn about what is going on inside Answers who would you propose the caller reach out to besides the Answers rep when the owners won't talk? 2) The caller didn't start out confrontational. He started out with calm questions that someone should be able to answer if they're in Jesse's stated position. Jesse claims to be "the Answers guy" that people can go to for info. He also claims to have wanted to work for them for years. Why wouldn't he know if it was woman owned? Why wouldn't he care to be clear about the actions of the current owners of the company? How they are taking action against the owners that he used to respect so much that he "wanted to work there for years"? The caller pushed Jesse at the point that his answers were not in alignment with what the caller knows to be true because he knows the people involved personally and was in the court room. 3) It's also a reps job to get answers for things they don't have answers to. Jesse was asked similar questions about Answers in July when he came to my store (and I'm sure numerous other times by other accounts). Jesse should also be aware of the increased returns (and causes... of which my store alone had a 16 fold increase) and decreased sales. The caller is also aware of this. So when Jesse makes certain statements and says "I don't know" to certain things it's irritating for anyone to hear that if they know that Jesse has had since at least July to make any effort to learn these things. To act with the integrity he claims he has and challenge/validate the claims he's being told by Answers current owners. Jesse is one of the ONLY people in this entire industry that has the ability to validate Answrs claims and share them with the public. Yet as he states he's gone out of his way to avoid participation in any of that. If the caller is wrong JESSE, of all people, can get that info and prove it. Instead he avoids it. I don't disagree with you that this call sounds heated after the first couple minutes. I agree that the caller gets rough with Jesse. But with enough background info you would be able to catch the nuances in answers that the caller identified and understand why he pushed when and where he did and how unreasonable and inappropriate it is for Jesse to be in the position he's in and, as the caller stated, hide behind Keith and Derrick. If you went to work for a company because you respected them, then 2/3+ of the people that lead you to respect the company left, and the public lashed out over it to the point that you got calls like this, wouldn't you put some effort into learning about why? So that you can either provide evidence as to why the public should calm down and keep supporting that company OR so you could see what the public is freaking out about and quit if there's actually something wrong? I don't know what Jesse cares about but I do know that in my experience when people take the ostrich head in the sand approach its usually because they don't want to know the answers.... they fear the answers.... they know that getting the answers will make something in their life difficult. The caller seems quite confrontational- the person who answered offered to meet up in person in November to discuss any concerns but it seems the caller just wanted create a hostile impression of a person who was caught off guard and apparently on their day off. I don’t know either party… just stumbled on this by accident but it doesn’t make the caller look good at all.

I am a Korean. Some South Koreans who raise dogs say it doesn't work after a month of medication. It's a bit sad to have beans in it, but the rest of the ingredients are excellent. I found out that there were about five good materials in the joints. I think it's enough to be constantly trusted and fed. If there is a product that works within a month, wouldn't you not have to go to the animal hospital? Urgent Koreans want a quick effect. I don't understand! Dr. Harvis, I like it. All the ingredients are natural.
People needs to stop with all these Grain = bad. Cats & Dogs need nutrients not ingredients. They are obligate carnivores not strict. They do consume plant matters pre-digested by herbivorous animals they prey on. There has been some reports showing "exotic ingredients" by some of the high-end brands can cause problems in dog primarily :www.fda.gov/animal-veterinary/outbreaks-and-advisories/fda-investigation-potential-link-between-certain-diets-and-canine-dilated-cardiomyopathy ..As such, i do not recommend going buying grain-free brands unless it's recommended by your vet..You can go grain-free, but make sure that the food you're giving is nutritionally balanced to make up for it.
If grain free were the cause of DCM, then it would be reflected in raw diets and it just isn’t the case. Trying to link to grain free kibble would be a leap especially since it’s not seen in raw diets. Carbs are such a problem in western diets for humans as well as pets. With all the studies done on carbs with its affects on humans, I don’t think it’s such a leap to say that carbohydrates would have a similar impact on our pets (considering dogs have 75% of their DNA similar to us).
