What a ridiculous system. A huge ultra-modern mall that most people can't afford to actually shop in. Out in the parking lot, the cars are worn, old and dirty. It's just a culture of putting on appearances.
In Trinidad and Tobago companies can raise the prices to improve the service (so they say) but really we as customers just end up paying more for less.
Hmm really glad you passed through and film during rush hour yes, too many ignorant people i've heard saying Grande is just some "village" or someway far in the bush, with uncivilised people... lol, I swear the ignorance towards the largest town of the east is disgraceful 😂😂😂 Grande is my home town all of 26 years. Progress is slow because of politics and politrix plaguing the Reg. Corporation for years now... yet we are but one ambitious and faithful investor(s) away from rivalling all major towns here in T&T. Grande has potential yo be so much more eh, hmm. People don't really have a REASON to come up here you see, unless to pass through to get to someplace else like Manzanilla Beach. If there was a Movie Towne here, if there was an east version of C3 or Trincity, all of the east would endorse it, i promise you this... I guess we just aren't special or "civilised" enough here in the bush for those kinds of investments and attention.
I agree with you and I know the feeling you get when “ignorant people” are chimed in by others who just as ignorant as they are. Unfortunately “politrix” has a big part to play in this. But I am so thankful that you appreciate the video. I try to film what I see as I see it with a bit of history when necessary. I also try to keep the bias out of my videos so I try to show as many parts of Trinidad as I can.
Sunday Morning in Spring Village, Balmain. Most places were closed at that time except for doubles vendors (of course). But you can always get something to eat day or night.
@@fritupley2907 I used to buy sandwiches there about 20 years ago, they weren’t so busy back then but now I just get my fresh hops and purchase my channa from the best doubles man and my family can enjoy as many as we like. But I am glad you still enjoy Nicks sandwiches.
and it’s only getting worse. Getting robbed at beaches, rivers and anywhere you find yourself self alone or in a small number of people. You can’t dress fancy, wear jewelry or drive a nice car. You qualify for kidnapping if you own a business or have a nice house.
I believe these Buildings will be restored shortly as part of the Kings Wharf redevelopment project. To my knowledge they have already started rehabbing the San Carlos Plaza to be transformed into a Museum. If you can do some more videos on the Kings Wharf Waterfront project.
