I noticed it looks like you have multiple risers on your bars in this video. Or is that just a 4 inch risers? By the way, great videos you have been a big help.
@@ontherebel11 I installed the 2 inch rox risers after watching your videos about it a while back, I just didn’t realize you combined the 2”&4” together. that’s awesome
@Motocampster it's been quite a journey brother..... I started off with 3 in risers, then 4 and finally 6. I enjoy touring so I needed to ride completely upright. I recently added a backrest which I will be doing a video about, makes a big difference if you like going for all day rides 🤙
Hi! Where do you mount the screen? I’ve tried this and there isn’t enough wire connecting to the screen to move it up to the original location on the handle bar after the rise.
Hi Tim, Here is a link to a short clip about the screen, you'll find the link in that video's description if you decide to get one. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-mqzl_dE7SrQ.html&si=Vp5RftiJQQ6LaQzt As for the exhaust, it is a custom exhaust, basically a straight pipe that you can have a local exhaust shop make for you.
Hey mate, couldn't mind anyone in the comments asking so I thought I would. What paddock stands are you using in the video to hold up your bike? I've looked every where and can't find stands big enough that fit the rear swing arms on the rebel 1100.
Does anyone have the TBR comp-s low mount exhaust and knows if the bigger bag fits on the right side? I really want to avoid the smaller bag and keep it symmetrical.
@@ontherebel11 the lights still come on but it doesn't turn over. I was out the country for a month and came home to that. I did buy the battery setup you got so hopefully it helps.
@@Deathfromla77 sorry to hear that brother, but you'll be happy with the Noco, I hope you also got the noco charger and jump started so you don't have to deal with the crap in the future... 🍻
Unfortunately I don't think so and I don't recommend it, after you raise the right side, there is too much weight transferred to the left which will make unlikely that the jack will snap into place. It is unsafe to try it tbh
I noticed you removed your top box. I'd have thought you'd be using that on a long trip, what happened? I ask because I just bought one online. Do you not recco using them? I bought a 40L to store my helmet and jacket when I go for a hike or into a restaurant.
You will love having the top box, it is so convenient!!! I didn't need it on this trip as it was a short one and everything fit in my saddlebags. I highly recommend the to box, it was the star of the show on my winter trip to key west last winter.
@@ontherebel11 good, I'm looking forward to getting it. Meanwhile, all your extensive travels far from home makes me wonder; Is there a "significant other" who doesn't mind you riding off into the sunset for a couple of weeks on your own, or are you unattached? My kids are grown, but my wife would not be thrilled . Obviously I can go, she wouldn't hold me back, but she wouldn't be happy and I'd feel guilty. She is afraid to go over 30mph on a bike so getting her one isn't an option. Curious what your situation is and how you handle it.
Sorry to hear that, you could open the drain bolt a bit to let some oil oil and retighten it, a bit messy but gets the job done, another method is to use a thin hose and syphon oil out from the dip stick opening. good luck bro.🍻
I ride a 02 955i as one my regulars my newist bike is 03 oldest 52 rode my girls manual 1100 an was impressed the sport bike cruiser chucked her on back an hit the windies an it increased her confidence once she new her bike was very capable, on a rd she rides alot she caught a vrod i think on her own sat behind for bit then got board an passed....he tried to keep up but gave up,my girl only been riding road for 2 or 3 years now an is eyeing drag strip where they also kicking ass
I wonder if I should get one of those bells. I hit a deer in June, just bent my crash bar and I stayed up. With the bell, do you think I would have missed him completely? lol
Hi Gus, I just changed my oil again at 8,000miles. First at 600miles, second around 4000 and now. Honda should have put the filler and dipstick on the right side of the bike. It would be much easier to add and check oil. With many other bikes, the filler and dip stick are on the right side so it is on the "high" side and much easier to get to and holds a funnel nicely. When I check the oil on my other bike, with the bike on its side stand, the filler is almost level and holds a funnel nicely. When checking oil, I leave the bike on it's side stand, take out the dip stick, wipe it off and drop it in the hole. Then I pick up the bike so it's level and set it back down and check the stick. I do this a couple times to get an accurate reading. Keep in mind it's a 700lb bike so not having to do the balancing act is appreciated.
Hello I have a few questions. I've gotten my rear tire done before, but I'm thinking about doing it myself. Saves me a ton of $$$ on labor. My questions is. 1. can you link the site where you bought the rear lift? Also for front wheel what kind of lift do you use?
Hi John, here are the stands that I am using, others have reported that the rear stand isn't easy to find though ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-A7PEMncG-nk.html
What type of exhaust wrap are you using? I want to wrap mine but they all seem to turn white. I love your videos! Super informative and fun. Thanks in advance!
Hi Skyler! The exhaust is a custom one, basically a straight pipe, back in 21 there wasn't anything on the market for the Rebel..... Thank you for your words of encouragement!!
Great video! I did the adjustments while on the side stand. I notice the scale on the adjusters is not the same on both sides, the line marks on the adjusters are lined up uneven, should I be concerned?
You have great videos, Thanks! I'm in Alexandria... I was wondering if you used a relay with your horn. I have one that looks just like it. It draws 4.5 amps. The circuit has a 7.5 fuse. It came on an NC700xd I bought. Never had an issue. Am thinking of putting it on my 03 Rebel 1100T ABS.
@@ontherebel11 good to know, thanks! The Rebel 1100T DCT Is a great bike! Great you have so many helpful how to videos as well ! We 1100 owners are in luck! = )
I know I said I was going to wait and do my front and rear lines at the same time…but this just got me so hype that I don’t know if I’ll be able to wait! 😂 Another great, informative video Gus! And thanks again for spreading the Spiegler love with me! 😉🙌🏻
Hi Anthony, that's a project I would like to once and for all tackle.... A direct install isn't available in the market, but I have talked with a local shop to work with me in developing a mount.... Easier said than done brother... I'll do my best to take this project on this winter... Fingers crossed
I'm glad to hear that brother!! I spent 5 days touring that area 2 years ago, absolutely gorgeous! I stayed in a town called Lebanon in Virginia as my home base and rode so many routes from Appalachian backroads www.appalachianbackroads.com/ Some of the best riding i've done! Have an amazing time brother, please keep an eye out for wildlife, i had many close calls with deer and bears, some of the footage i had used for the dashcam video from last year. I should finish editing the video from that trip and post it LOL You will love the riding and scenery!!!!
I don't recommend compressing the suspension as the straps can loosen when you hit a good bump and the suspension compresses more. Also if you bottom out suspension completely with the straps you can damage the fork seals. I always strap the highest part of the lower section of the forks so the suspension is fee to move with the trailer and straps can't loosen this way. I always run a strap through the front wheel, loop it around the tire and out (another one through the rear wheel) that apply downwards tension and keep the wheel from moving. I leave the kickstand down just in case. I always use all my straps and I have a lot of them.....better safe than sorry.
Hi Gus, did you notice any oil consumption on your Rebel. I just checked mine and after 4,000 miles mine was down a quart. My Valkyrie with 114000 miles doesn't use any in 4000 miles. Doesn't seem right. The Rebel has always used oil and I figured once it was broken in, the consumption would slow or stop but it hasn't. BTW, I'm using Lucas motorcycle oil 10-30 for wet clutches. Performance and shifting are fine.
@@ontherebel11 I park mine in a garage and there are no signs of a leak. It runs fine so my guess is it is sucking oil vapor into the engine through the air box. I will be changing my air filter soon and I'll have to see what the box and filter look like.
Hi Abdulrahman, here is everything you need to know about the screen, it works great man!! the link is in the description of the video. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-oL91vKzjTOQ.htmlsi=k-tfumfs5UG7jeah
I just bought my 2021 Honda 1100 DCT Rebel on the 4th of this month. It only had 847 miles on it when I got it off the dealer's showroom floor a week and a half ago. I already love it, and I haven't rode a bike for 40 years.
to be clear. - I mean the the small one about 13 minutes into this video - I clicked on the viking link and see a different one. you're definitely the accessory king!
Hi Greg, i hope this is the one you are asking for, if not, let me know bro www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/givi-crm103-8l-tank-bag?Google&PLA-Accessories-PMAX&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjw9eO3BhBNEiwAoc0-jReyfR0rqaO7j3ciOgnw4jFfjePYvZe0yoQmjlA4CkbYMEFfb_m5HRoCDjQQAvD_BwE&sku_id=1810934
I might be wrong, you might have been asking about the legend bag sw-motech.us/p/4052572034187?sku=BC.HTA.00.401.10100L&variantSelectorGenericColor=black&variantSelectorGenericMaterial=textile
Hi Greg, thank you!!! This is my favorite tailbag www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/givi-crm103-8l-tank-bag?Google&PLA-Accessories-PMAX&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjw9eO3BhBNEiwAoc0-jReyfR0rqaO7j3ciOgnw4jFfjePYvZe0yoQmjlA4CkbYMEFfb_m5HRoCDjQQAvD_BwE&sku_id=1810934
All of your videos are very informative but just want to point out in this one how important it is to HOLD THE ADJUSTMENT SCREW IN PLACE WHILE LOOSENING THE LOCKNUT, otherwise the former will probably turn with the latter, and any chance of precision gone with it. Also I hear the bike should be on its kickstand? that sure makes it more difficult to find the chain's tightest spot.... the not sure anyone's mentioned it in all the comments so far
Hi Shawn, i was waiting fo the quick release that viking were developing. I really miss being able to remove the bags... need to figure something out..
Hi Louie, yes, i recommend to replace the top brake line, it is the safest option. You can now get a direct replacement brake line, here is a video that i discuss the details. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-GmjYOoUDsDg.html&si=LfjYGrdWmL4PhQtr
11:14 do you have anyyy idea what size washers these are? OEM replacements are $5 each 😂 Can’t find it in the service manual or any videos on the brake line extension etc
Hi There, i don't know the exact measurements as i haven't measured one personally, but you should search for banjo bolt washers, they might be 10mm, but i'm not sure. If i get a chance to measure one, i'll share it with you.
@@ontherebel11 As per usual you’re just so awesome! No worries if you don’t get to it. Preliminary research tells me 10mm too so I’ll get an assortment or measure. Thanks Gus!
@topherlions714 I'm glad to hear that brother, but just in case I didn't mention it, if you decide to replace the top line from Spiegler, they'll include the washers in the packaging 👍
