Hello! Welcome to my second channel! Sort of. I may have a few more out there... so welcome to my second LEGO specific channel! While my main channel, On the Brick, primarily focuses on CUSTOM Lego (and non-lego) sets, I still really love normal LEGO too. That's what this channel is for! All 100% official LEGO.
The game is literally a big walking sim. You walk to each cutscene and that’s about it. Like couldn’t they do it like every other game where you have an open world and missions but they’re separated, the missions were in the open world and it felt so weird.
EA battlefront 2 got so robbed you can not make a list of best Star Wars games and not put it under the top 5 . Especially under The Skywalker Saga, after you finished the game like 70% you get bored.Don’t get me wrong I really liked the Skywalker saga but it just doesn’t deserve a place that high
If you try and complete all the missions, it gets fun again. But if not, it's just one of those games in which you repeat an episode every once in a while when you feel like it
I didn't like the game. The walking phases between the levels were lomger than the levels, the story was way too comedic and important details were left out to the point that if you dont know the lore, you wouldnt get it. The Open World had way too much collectibles and i tried playing the story with my best friend and i continued playing alone after ep II bc the second player does nothing to progress the story. Most of the time he played a droid and solved 2 or 3 terminals and thats it. Every Lego Game did it better
I get Your point and yeah, it can drag a bit, the open areas can be a bit tiring and I wish there was more You could do with the ships - like fly them around the actual map - not just in space. I’m not sure trying to add RPG elements to a lego game was a good idea… but on the other hand a lot of Your points were incredibly nitpicky. Mostly You complained how it’s different from the OG game and therefore worse - me personally - I don’t care how I kill droidekas and I enjoyed the hints to the original as well as the voice acting - it was a bit childish at times, but that’s the humour I came for to a lego game. Plus some of the new elements were awesome! You could do side missions loosely connected to the story, which unlike in the original added a lot more to do than just play the levels again even though they were great! This game has a lot to offer when You don’t try to compare it to the original. They’re just two different genres. I agree that I remember the old game better than this, but I think both are great TBH :)
Everything you used to do in missions, you have to get out into the amazingly detailed beautiful open world and do. And there’s just so much more. I think it’s way better.
I love this game and I’m currently 80-85% complete with it and it’s a ton of fun. People say after the levels it’s so lifeless makes no sense because there are hundreds of quests among the planets and things to collect which can get repetitive and tedious but brings life to the planets. Obviously it’s not perfect but saying it’s so bad and whatnot doesn’t hit for me. They did a great job bringing all the Star Wars movies in one singular movie
Thank you, you so succinctly explained what's wrong with this game. It sucks too cuz a lot of this is likely due to publisher meddling, but I also think a lot of the newer, younger developers just aren't as good as developers used to be and they just don't really understand games as well as when it was more niche and games were more often passion projects.
' the game is good but not great ' developers just focused on graphics and voice and cutscens there is very less fighting part and puzzle parts I want big fights like lego star wars 3 Game is disappointing it's not the level of star wars games currently I'm playing the complete saga
I understand your complaints and I respect them but me personally, I think I’m the features they added and removed so I don’t understand like the red bricks but somebody do understand some features I really like and I’m having a fun time with it but I understand your complaints, but I’ll continue playing it
Hmmm, almost like there's this thing called Developer Crunch Time. You do realize that the employees didn’t know how to use that engine and were forced to remake what they had started doing in the custom engine. And, they were forced to stay after at times. Case in point: it could have been more like a Lego game if higher-ups hadn't shoved their head into the ring.
Honestly? I really didn't like Lego for the longest time, I tried to hop into the complete saga and the clone wars and I just couldn't get into them. This game got me back into it, I think it's weird that people see it this way. I mean it's a kids game, it's gonna have super simple things to do. That's what I chalk most of that up to is just it being a kids game. They want them to finish the game not get mad and stop playing. If this was made for both kids and adults I could see more of these arguments being more valid. I love the open world aspect, exploring some of my favorite planets in Star wars and it's Lego? Better count me in. I do love your video and I see some of your points, keep up the awesome work
It's funny to hear you say that TSS is a completely different game when you said that 100% The Force Awakens. TSS was heavily based on the free roaming of TFA, with less emphasis on levels.
I was actually pretty excited to play this game when it came out and have been waiting for the entirety of 2021 since its initial announcement and when it came out it just so happens that i got Covid, 😂 well if that wasn't good timing I don't know what is 😅
The quality of levels is very inconsistent. Some levels are decent with mechanics and layout, while others are too short and straightforward. Even then, the best levels are just alright.
No to mention, the HUD and UI are so awful. It almost drove me to unstalling the game until I found out that It could be changed in the options menu. Overall not bad, but certainly not the kind of experience us OG Lego games fans were expecting. Level design Is weird, pointless upgrade system, pointless New combat system, dialogue Is still very hit or miss, hub worlds are detailed but filled with boring side quests (some are fine). It's just a very underwhelming and dull experience.
I grew up on LEGO Star Wars the Complete Saga. I STILL play it to this day. I've played Skywalker saga as well. once I beat every the 2 original trilogy,(1-6) i stopped playing
Once i realized all I need to do is pull out a lightsaber and then put the controller down and my character will autodeflect and get kills is when i stopped playing.
currently playing this game myself and im having the same feelings. played episodes 4 and 5 and im just kinda bored. this game truely feel feels like a regular starwars game wearing the skin of a lego game. im having a fun enough time to keep going a little while longer but its nothing like the other lego video games
Free roaming, I found a lot of fun quick puzzles, nothing to challenging, I think free roaming the game has a lot to offer. The main story missions are pretty lackluster, while some missions are very well put together, others are just missions to get you to the next cutscene. Personally, had they just remade the old levels, made the new ones for the new movies, and given us a general home base. That would have completely okay with me. I think they tried to do too much far out of the scope of the normal lego game, and much of it is too streamlined and basic to make any real impact on the game. I don't hate it, I actually respect the devs for going in this direction, trying to do sometime different. But it fell far too flat in so many areas.
Pietro Maximoff/Quicksilver, Ultron’s actual robot body he uses throughout AoU, and a full sized ant man mini fig are the characters that should’ve been here in place of wasp and wong, at least imo
I saw someone say they included wasp since she was one of the original avengers in the comics and since antman has had plenty of figures I assume this was their chance to fix the mistakes of the original figure, while also having to choose between the two of them to make small.
although not a perfect minifigure selection (a happy hogan, maria hill, final-model ultron, etc), I'm pretty happy with what we got. The Hulk having a rotatable head, Thor using the Mad-Eye head, and just all of the Vision minifigure are really awesome, not to even mention the build itself, which is JAWDROPPING even though the only images we have are extremely blurry
They didn’t change it, it was always 31 minifigures, but the first leaks said that there is *at least* 22 minifigures, sometimes leaks aren’t accurate at the start, like some leaks said kang is going to be in the new Lego marvel collectible minifigure series, but he wasn’t there, you should be more updated about the Lego leaks before you make a comment that isn’t factual. Leaks are bound to change.
