After acquiring a client, it’s important to make sure you have a solid onboarding process. That’s another video I will be making. Once you get the client, you have to make sure they are happy and update them on what’s going on. I use loom a lot for that
Comfortable is different for everybody. However, as a freelancer it will depend on your experience, you could start charging about $1k/month per client to over $3k/month A PMS should aim to make at least $5k/month but of course the sky is the limit if you decide to grow to an agency
Hey Sergio , really nice video ! I was wondering if I could help you with more Quality Editing in your videos and also make a highly engaging Thumbnail and also help you with the overall youtube strategy and growth ! Pls let me know what do you think ?
@@sergiogfelix No it doesn't, people get a tone of messages per day and don't reply I am sure you don't even reply to yours ;). Being Top 3 on Google and paid ads work the other is pure lies. Also you don't post on Linkedin how can you get clients...
It really depends man, I’ve had some great opportunities early in my career from LinkedIn. And sure there are some LinkedIn messages that I don’t answer but that’s because it’s a pure pitch, but there are some that I do answer. I’ve only gotten 1 client approach me from LinkedIn, but I haven’t got any since. At the moment I am doing outreach using a software and have been getting responses and close to scheduling calls. Of course it’s hard but not impossible
I applied at Acadium for internship but unfortunately got denied. My next step is to apply your resumé tips. Would you suggest to work as a freelancer starting out or work at entry level job?
@@kakashiiisenful Depends if you have some experience, if you have no experience then freelancing is going to be very challenging because freelancers with experience will be the ones getting hired and its super competitive if you uses sites like Upwork. I would first focus on generating experience, if you already have experience but have not get a job yet, then I would focus on trying to get a job.
You can use the free Google keyword planner on Google ads. You can also use softwares like ahrefs, SEMrush, or Spyfu for extra analysis. But they all be using googles data so why not just start using their Free keyword planner
That alone will most likely not get you a job. It’s very competitive to get a paid media job with only those certifications. What really matters is getting some type of experience and results. I have a video where I talk about how I generated my own results to get a job
hi bro, really inspired by your story. I have been learning about paid media, it's interesting but I'm now stuck between can I become an effective paid media specialist without first learning graphic design? my question is do I need to start with Adobe design platforms and video editing before google and Facebook ads? right now the only tool I'm good at is Canva, do you think it's enough for design work required in Paid media?
You don’t need to be a graphic designer to be a paid media specialist. It’s better if you study what makes a good ad, you can work with a graphic designer and give them creative direction. Usually paid media specialists will work with a team and they will have an in house graphic designer
There are multiple, but i'll give 3 important ones. What paid media platforms are you most experienced with, and can you provide examples of campaigns you've managed on these platforms? [This tells you if they have experience with Meta, Google, or other platforms. As well as what type of businesses they've ran ads to get an idea of what they have worked with and paid media challenges they've encountered] How do you approach developing a paid media strategy for a new market or product? [You want to understand how strategic they are and how they will develop a strategy for a new product, which can be challenging] How do you measure the success of your campaigns, and what metrics do you prioritize? [This is important for a media buyer to know when to scale ads or what makes a successful campaign, which is crucial for a media buyer.]
Over the years I’ve gotten clients from freelancing sites like Upwork, companies like Mayple or Marketerhire, out reach through email, clients have reached out to me through LinkedIn, and referrals
Not really, just simple math to calculate the return on your ads and other metrics for a business, however that can all be calculated and you don’t actually need to do the math.
I'm 29 about to be 30 and transitioning my career into Digital Marketing and learning SEO and Google Ads. I'm getting more and more interested in Paid Media Specialist. This is the first video I have watched titled "Paid Media Specialist". I'm excited to dive into this field. Glad to watch your video! Long way to go!
The Google ads course from udemy. It gave me a good understanding of account structure and market research which helped a lot. But all courses supporting in me learning paid media/digital marketing
I’ve never used intelligems but I like that you can test pricing and it looks like it has more features, but not sure how it compares to shoplift in terms of split testing pages
I’m going to create a video of everything I did that got me to become a paid media specialist, so stay tuned for that. I’ll include all resources in the description
I tried VWO for a couple weeks, and found that it didn't integrate with shopify like Shoplift. With Shoplift, it just made editing within the shopify theme way easier. I felt more limited in VWO.
Well in my experience I started dropshipping, but I would not recommend that to everybody, it's very challenging and requires money to start. Another way I gained experience was through acadium.com/ It's like an internship in a way, essentially you work for free in exchange for marketing help for a business. Businesses on Arcadium understand that you are a beginner. But it would be a win-win situation. You gain experience and the business gets marketing help
@@sergiogfelix thanks for the response man. I was actually thinking about joining acadium plus. Seems to speed up the process. Also Seth Jared Hymes course seems promising. Gonna try it out!
Sure, you can email me at sergio@sfelixmarketing.com for some advice or if you would like to book a call with me to get the most value, schedule a time from my consulting page: felixmediamarketing.com/paid-media-consulting/ It's usually to help with paid media accounts, but I can help give advice for your specific situation
hi bro i really appreciate your work i have a question from you some people says that only learn one thing well facebook ads or google ads but i dont thing so a company give me a job for only facebook ads?it give me a job for a multiple things like google ads and facebook ads...... so what do you say about this .
There are some companies that can afford to hire someone to just do one speciality. Whether it be Facebook, Google, or even Amazon ads. This can sound awesome for some people, they only have to specialize and worry about one platform. Personally I think it will limit you because the majority of your experience will be in one speciality and will probably get boring. As for the roadmap bro, I can't really tell you what to learn first. It's going to be based on what you think you like or know you like. So, first I would recommend to get a general idea of the digital marketing landscape if you don't know already. When I first started I took a class going over the basics of marketing, SEO, Google, Facebook, data analytics, email marketing, etc. Then I started a ecom business doing Facebook ads and enjoyed running ads. Every body is going to have a different road map, but you are going to have to figure it out. Most important thing is to learn as much as possible and apply what you are learning to start getting results/confidence.
@@sergiogfelix Thanks dear bro for such great knowledgeable reply to me. bro i want to grow with paid social media like google ads, facebook ads, istagram ads ,tiktok ads, youtube ads etc.i am not going going to go in seo becuase seo is a separatly wide field . so i want to go with Social media marketing side or paid social media. what was your opinion about this.can a company get a job me only in these two things????????
@@sergiogfelix Hello Sergio, I completed a 12-month social media management course, two Google certificates in digital marketing and SEO, and two three-month internships focused on design and community management( all in total 3 month internship) despite limited hands-on experience in this field , do you think I could transition into a role as a digital media manager specializing in paid media?"
@@LaraSen-yt4bl Thats great to hear that you are learning and getting certifications, as well as interning, however, I think it is too soon to think of a management position. If you know what to go with the paid media route then I would suggest starting as an account manager at an agency, especially if you want to have a management position.
This is really helpful! I’m currently in the transitioning phase from graduating college to finding a job as a paid media specialist. What are some of the certificates you’ve received within the digital marketing realm?
I started with Udacitys digital marketing nano degree. But it's kind of pricy for just the basics of digital marketing. I just liked that they kept you accountable for completing projects. I also did HubSpot inbound marketing and google search ad certification which is Free. But I think the one that helped me the most was Seth. He helps people get digital marketing jobs. sergiofelix.co/digitalmarketing What I learned from his course helped me get my first job in digital marketing
I'll create another video for both the Middle and bottom of the funnel. I'll probably have to create a couple different videos on strategies on how to go about it for both
Why catalog sales in the #Top of the funnel" to cold audience? I dont anderstand that and im getting confused with all the differend content out there.. I tough catalog sales was more for the "BOF", hot audience...
Catalog sales do not have to be just at the BOF, it can be for TOF just for prospecting, if you have a lot of data on the account, it could be a good idea to try broad dynamic catalog sales. It's something good to test out and see if Facebook can find the right cold audience.
That depends, I will always have a top-of-the-funnel campaign running, but I might shut it off if it's not performing well, or I might test different audiences, creatives, copy, etc. Middle of the funnel I usually have it for re-engagement. So anybody that has been to the website or engaged with an ad in the past 30 days. I will sometimes have past 180 days, but I will test that. The bottom of the funnel is mainly remarketing, so anybody that has viewed a specific product page or added to the cart. What really matters are the ad creatives. For example, the bottom of the funnel could have an ad of someone using the product and giving a review. Any user-generated content is great.
Awesome content, Sergio! I have 2 quick questions: 1) what was the objective for the Prospecting campaign Was it “Conversions”? 2) If yes, did you have the existing 50 conversions per week or you just set it up (in the beginning when u had no conversions) and u let it run in “Learning mode” until it got the 50 conversions and it started to work better then? Thanks a lot and keep up with this quality content!
@@patrikbindea2298 Sure. 1) It was conversions specifically for purchases 2) Good question. Although Facebook requires you to get 50 conversions a week to get out of the learning phase and have the campaign optimize to the best of its ability, you don't necessarily need to always get out of learning mode. For example, this prospecting campaign has a 10x ROAS but is still in learning limited. It really depends on the brand and their products. The client I shared in the video has an average order value of $450 so just a few purchases can get them profitable. So trying to get 50 conversions (purchases) a week would be almost impossible
lol no. The closest thing you can do as a full-time job with these skills would be digital marketing. Specifically, a Facebook ads specialist, but you got to have the experience, so working for free is your best option to get the experience and get a job or freelancing.
