What happens if you use the piston system needed on my pistol on a keltec sub2000 that has a fixed barrel? Is that just unnecessary weight or would it actually cause a problem?
Buying the Witt machine mod 1 or the Rex MG 7……basically the same suppressor as the R9 but with no barrel restrictions and full auto rated….the R9 like other 9mm “pistol suppressors” are a gimmick! Not making multiple caliber suppressors function at full auto rated without barrel restrictions is a gimmick to sale more suppressors and only because of NFA restrictions, if the restrictions were lifted the prices would plummet, the Rex MG7/X and the Witt machine MOD 1 that are hub compatible are a better option! Do research and save your money.
No worries - this community always welcomes newer folks to the hobby! The R9 was designed for a projectile of .355", which is much bigger than .22 cal., so the sound mitigation would not be as great as if you were running (say) our Phantom 22 can, which was designed specifically for .22 rimfire shooters.
@YHM Need to suppress a 24” 6arc AR Precision rig out to 1k steel Weight is no concern Max sound suppression/precision and minimal to no gas in face if possible Bad Larry or Resonator R2
R2 is a 30 cal can, bad larry is a .338 can. The Bad Larry has enough overbore that you will probably get less gas face. Have you tried installing an adjustable gas block to reduce the amount feeding back anyway? I run my 6mm arc with a 20" barrel in the AR platform with an adjustable gas block on an Otter Creek Polonium which is known to be very gassy and I get basically nothing in my face. If you are concerned about this, you could get a can a little closer to the 6mm arc caliber but with a flowthrough like the HuxWRX Flow 6k?
@@mrwonderful3359 This is a .338" caliber can. 9mm is in the range of .356". If there is enough overbore in the can you might be able to get it to work but you are taking a huge risk with what is basically a $1k can after the stamp in regards to a baffle strike.
The origins of the term are obscure, but "Bad Larry" is usually used to describe something that is cool, desirable and may have a touch of bad-a**ery. We thought it was a great name for this new large-bore suppressor, and so far, the marketplace does too!
We've got every suppressor we make on priority re-supply. The ATF wait time change created a huge demand, and we are striving to replenish inventories to our dealers. But we will only make them 100% proper and can't rush.
@@YHMachineCo doing the lords work. Thank you for making awesome products at a working class price ! One day soon I’m going to order a R2 and a t3. Super pumped.
@meathammer5886 I got a RS RS9 for my 7 inch scorpion and picked up a YHM tri lug adapter. Haven't had a chance to use it yet unfortunately. I'm curious how the R9 and RS9 would compare
Please make a face mount for 1/2x28 flash hiders, pistons, and muzzle breaks. This would help with some platforms, and there is barely any support for these users. Thank you :) Mayor Fuglycool
Can someone from yankee hill tell what I need to do to make my sidewinder compatible with my Ruger LC carbine in .45 auto? Do I need to change the spring to a fixed barrel component?
I need the same conversion for my Ruger LC carbine in .45ACP. I went to Yankee Hill website and they told me the Sidewinder Direct Thread Adapters won't be available until the end of summer 2024. Cheers!!!
