Be careful where/when you use this concept. A lot of people strictly want to hear bass on or on-top of the beat, and won't understand what you're doing or why, which can be misconstrued as having "bad time".

It sounds more locked when it’s slightly behind almost like a whip between drum and bass. When it’s right on the beat the bass over shadows the drum and they sound separate rather than together

Nice lesson. Laying back makes a world of difference and is one of the untangibles between a beginner and a seasoned player. I didn't notice as much until I started getting into.recording.

Not directly in Basscabulary, but a lot of the foundation is laid in teaching different scales from which you can derive patterns. I plan to do more corse work in the future with some licks that are specifically laid out for everyone.

I still have my first bass guitar. It is an ayar that my dad bought for $70. I made it into a fretless. My second gift from dad is a BB300 that I customized. I have it since my 16th birthday.

Great video! I know you use MIDIculius for this, but how do you get the notes to show up in black on the fretboard? I’ve tried this with guitar but all the notes on the fretboard show up with the letter name in the note

@@MusiciansNetworkTV maybe have a better plan to begin with? Keep side tracking to a minimum and get to the points faster. Smaller pockets of focused information over detailed explanations on every step along the way. None of the theory is new to me, but I struggled to follow. Maybe it's just me? Keep at it though

I like how you can see the numbers on fret board for the scale being played. Because if you go up(descending) or down(ascending) on fret board, you’ll find the same note certain frets apart from each other.
