everytime someone says people from south australia say “dar-nce” instead of “dan-ce” i shed tear 😭 i’ve lived here my entire life, i don’t know a single person who says “dar-nce” 😀
Western Sydney is different from the CBD and just to throw a spanner in the works I was once asked if I was from Queensland because I put 'AYE' on the end of sentences and I've never been there. Western Sydney born and raised in 'the riff'. Go the Panthers!
Interesting points, however the biggest recent generational changes to my ear, is to the "a" and "i" vowels. The former sounds more like "e" and the latter sounds like "a" when exaggerated.
