Hello, my name is Tamago and I focus on connecting the world with rails in Minecraft!
Tamago Rails is a channel where I create rail stations and systems in survival worlds as a medium of transport. An example of this is the Railroad Industries Modpack Playthrough, where I create rail stations and systems to connect villages around the map.
I generally upload every other weekend (except recently where life gets super busy but this project isn't completely abandoned!).

ah yes that's totally possible! This is very commonly used in the official let's play server for the MTR mod. I'm pretty sure they're done through various sensors provided from the mod that trigger when a train arrives/leaves, which is hooked up to some command blocks that play the announcement sounds. I think text to speech may also be available, though I'm unsure.
Your videos are very relaxing to listen to. Maybe to add an additional air of specialty to each station, perhaps you could add in a short unique noteblock jingle per station? that's what I like to do in mine, it adds a fun challenge to it all. Regardless, your videos are a treat. Happy building!
Hello! Thanks for commenting; glad you enjoy the videos. Yea differentiating each station by adding something unique sounds like a good idea! I do already try to do that with differing building styles for each station, but a jingle would help differentiate it from the sound aspect. I'm pretty bad with noteblocks/music in general so it may be a while before I implement them though if I choose to.

loving the videos!! they're super relaxing! got recommended the second by the algorithm, been watching the rest from there. always saw this mod on modrinth but never considered downloading it thinking it was too complicated, but looking at it like this makes me seriously consider it
glad you liked them! I was also hesitant in downloading the mod initially as well but seeing that it was the only significant rail mod available on Fabric 1.18.1 at that time, I ended up going with it. Turns out it wasn't as complicated as it initially seemed once I understood the rough mental model through Jonathan's tutorial videos. If you do decide to give it a try, hope you enjoy the mod by him!
Hello, nice to hear you're intrigued with the pack! Thanks to Jonathan for the MTR mod. I tried to include several performance mods so hopefully the pack will run okay; giving it a try and adjusting settings won't hurt :)
Huge fan of the concept, but minor nitpick: The Ngong Ping 360 cable car is listed on the MTR network map, but uses a completely different ticket scheme to the actual MTR in real life, as well as different lifts, platform signage et cetera. Was it a conscious choice to better integrate this cable car with the broader network? If so, I'm really into it. I've lived on Lantau for all my life and I always take the bus because of the price difference. (I've jumped around a bit in the video, so I'm not sure if you've already discussed this. Big apologies if not)
Hello! Glad you like the concept. No that wasn't a concious choice; I don't know enough about the real-life MTR system to spot that xD But yes so far I know, generally in this MTR mod (the one by Jonathan lol), everything is integrated into one system (including stations and fares). This includes the trains, cable cars, ferries, and even airplanes I think lol. So yes I do want to go ahead with that idea, and I do agree that integrating it into one big network is a beautiful picture!
hello! Currently I'm not considering the world download because the world is far from done and we're still quite early (relatively speaking) in episode numbers. I do intend to (no promises) provide a world download when the series is over.

Love the speed change, looks way smoother. Maybe even decrease it more in the tunnels at 17:40, so it doesn’t look so bumpy ^^ Also for the vines, try stopping their growth with strings at the desired height. Love your vids! Keep it up!
Ah yea that's a good idea with the vines; thanks for it! For the bumpiness, as I said in response to another comment, I've made it to one smooth (albeit slightly steep) ramp so it looks less bumpy. I could probably decrease it a bit more though still to make it feel better. I'll consider the suggestions; thanks again for them! Glad you like the vids!
It's quite a lot of up and downs I would agree... I tried to curve it around initially but it didn't go where I want (i.e., following the existing cave). Well after reading this comment I decided to just bite the bullet and just ended up making that whole segment (after exiting the tunnel from base otherside) a smooth ramp; still a bit steep but I think much better and more realistic. Btw MTR stands for mass transit railway, which is the train of Hong Kong. Everything in this mod basically models after the hong kong railway system, including the signs, etc
Thanks for the info! Yes I am aware of that fact; it's a nice coincidence (or perhaps it was planned?) that the mod name also abbreviated to MTR. I also realized that these models were quite accurate when I came across some IRL pictures of e.g. station signs in the MTR Discord server xD

I cant wait to see how multiple lines interact, especially if some lines use the same stations in a couple places. The auto generated maps for the stations are so cool!
Yea would agree; I just forgotten about the convention of using e.g. G (ground) in the Iron Savannah and just felt like leaving it that way. I think I did use G in the Iron Mountain.
You have a very calm voice. Your organising and recording style just give a therapeutic vibe after a long day. And, congratulations, you have gained a lot of subscribers since the last time I checked! Were you planing on opening a Discord server? :D

Glad you liked it! Yes I do actually have a video where I explained how this roughly works, that is in episode 8 where I started the storage room. There is also the official Tom's Simple Storage guide/tutorial by the mod creator also (and some other ones by other content creators).
Potentially yea I would consider it, perhaps to the snowy areas where the nether portal exits from the fortress farm in episode 7. It would be a lot of building though.
