I went to a lil Wayne concert and he was about an hr late and performed about 15 sec of each song and then walked off stage. I promised myself I’d never pay to see him again. The disappointment was reallll

What I’m starting to put together, is that P. Diddy along with some other entities started destroying the music industry with Jay Z and a whole bunch of other artists that I really don’t know who, but a few probably to destroy the music industry after 2Pac and biggie now knowing I’m really understanding Diddy worked for in the beginning before he even signed biggie. How do you know any of this? Like let’s be forreal. Wayne publicly had issues with lean, yes, that was literally 10+ years ago. I’m not saying he doesn’t drink lean today but to say he needs rehab is wild. You don’t actually know what this man does or doesn’t do on a daily basis.
I really think Wayne is one of, if not THE, best lyricist ever. Genius level. It's also true that his mindset, his music, hasn't evolved over time. He found his comfort zone and stayed in it - fair enough, it gets him the bag every time as it should. For the Superbow they picked the right one with Kendrick - he's the one most people wanna hear from in 2024/25, that's just facts.

The host city makes the final decision and chooses the artist they want from that list. N.O. city officials chose Kendrick not Jay Z. Probably because Lil Wayne is already having his festival there next month. MFs upset about a 15min Halftime show while kids are dying in schools and Republicans have been in court trying to suppress our votes is the corniest ish ever. SB in No in 2002 - was more about 9/11 than who performed. Part of the performance was focused on 9/11 SB in NO in 2012 - Wayne was released from Rikers Island in Nov 2010 after 3ish years of legal issues If you have other dates I'm unaware of, please share. Yeah, I was really expecting him to put out a video telling everyone to chill out and that he would’ve loved the opportunity but it’s OK and that he’s happy for Kendrick. But when I watched it, you would’ve thought that Jay Z just had to give somebody cancer and he picked Wayne. I mean he’s over there acting like someone died. But the more and more that you look into it you really understand why they didn’t pick Wayne because there have been other annual TV events that are big deals that happen once a year that he has been chosen for in the past when you find out that a couple of them, he didn’t even show up for, others they begged him to come to rehearsal and he wouldn’t show up and then the day of the event he would show up late and wouldn’t know the words to the song and it would be a bad performance. I haven’t found that many great live performances from him that he has done for the Grammys or wrestlemania or whatever they’re all pretty bad

Irrelevant? Can't say that even though I also think Kendrick is the best choice this year. I will say though to make a Wayne SB make any waves you HAVE to bring out Aubrey, Nicki, Juve, etc. Kendrick could just go solo for 15 mins and have a great performance. Wayne can't. I’m new Kendrick fan so I went back and listened to most of his album my next album on this journey will be section 80 and I can say his album do not sound dated at all and I do spend at least a month with each of the albums I have listened to so far and gkmc and mmatbs are my top two. And I know will always revisit these albums because of feelings they give as you listen it’s like watching your favorite movie in your head
I strongly urge you to challenge yourself by listening to To Pimp A Butterly and Mr. Morale and the Big Steppers. You can’t listen to it once. You have to listen several times. You won’t be disappointed. Trust me. ❤
