Collab proposals to watchgambit at gmail dot com and I`m telling you straight off that my channel or Insta will not be featuring cheap china shit or catalogue stuff or so called fashion watches. It`s going to be quality products made by passionate watch people independent of the origin. Microbrands, well established ones and newcomers very welcome.
Check out my Insta feed as well @watchgambit and whatever you can come up to support this stuff if you like it is well appreciated.
They are not pandering to the watch community . they mean business. there are very harsh conditions in the north sea. it is a mans watch and 1000s of pounds cheaper than the overpriced Swiss offerings and its powered by a seiko movement, what more could you want!
I got this Offshore 500 Professional watch from an actual professional diver living in East Scotland. I had to cut off the extra length of the band, because this rubber strap can only be used wearing a wet suit. This makes it my only REAL dive watch. After 10 years of watch collecting and over a 100 watches in my collection, this Offshore 500 ended up to be my most worn watch for daily use. It still looks exactly like I bought it brandnew, 5 years ago. No scratches, no wear and tear. I replaced the strap, after 5 years, but that is all. I replaced it for a rubber strap that was on my Samsung Gear S3 Frontier. This watch is the real deal. I do diving in salt water, chlorine water, hot showers, hiking in a rainy forest, on the beach in the sand, everything that can ruin your expensive watch. The lume lasts all night and the accuracy of this watch is +8 seconds a month. Highly recommended.
I found out, that 100% moisturised air can penetrate a watch much easier than actual water. So extensive sweating, especially when the watch is covered by a sleeve for example, gives a pocket of 100% saturated air surrounding the watch. Walk in the rain in a forest for hours and find out your watch has condensation on the inside of the glass. You don't have to dive into the ocean, to get water inside your watch. A water tight watch is not an airtight watch. Nobody seems to test this. Start to workout in the gym. You start sweating. Under the watch is sweat and air. You don't dive, but the effect on the watch is cruel.
Top tier SLA 62 mas , it doesn’t get any better than the SBDX041!The colour matched date wheel is just beautiful. It is one of my grail Seiko divers, i will definitely be buying one in a few years time , no matter the price.
Both great watches. I’ve had the 025 and it didn’t wear well on my bony wrist. I’ll pull a Spork if I can find a mint one but other than that I’m propably retired… meanwhile my other side of brain says … mmmm Omiwatari… 😅
I like this one better than the GS divers. It wears more compact, the bezel insert is ceramic (for some strange reason GS divers have less durable PVD coated bezels), and the bracelet/clasp is easier to stomach at this price point.
Hi. Lighter, higher, better finish and obviously the spring drive magic versus the pretty good 8L I have in my SLA. I’ll put it this way that I wouldn’t mind selling my MM300 but the SNR is mine forever
@watchgambit stoked to hear, this will be my next timepiece. Edit: these are a man's man's watch. They're meant to look big and badass and also be legible and badass. I'm really excited. I recently bought a Seiko srq029 automatic speedtimer and it's 16mm too (but 2mm is the sapphire crystal, which is beautiful), so I kind of know 16mm size isn't as big as people want to talk sh*te about it. They'd for sure buy one if they could afford it, but the high-end seikos like the lx line seems so out of grasp for 95% of people's budget. So they hate on it and claim they'd rather have a GS or whatever 🙄. I'm not dismissing their opinion on that these are big watches, they are, but thats the point of the design. Having the highest end Seiko is cool in of itself, a spring drive... I'm buying what I like, not what other people like haha. The omega planet ocean is bigger at 16mm+ and a lot of people seem to absolutely love those. Yours is so nice dude! I'm blown away by how good it looks, pictures do not do justice. Great video 😊
nice find dude, and yes as soon as I saw it i thought of the other brands you mentioned later on, possibly a generic make that you can then make your own, looks like the 500m is the better of the two and looks like it'll survive a few dings!!
Nice review. Can you tell if the date complication was removed from the sw200 or is it still present? The crown has two positions or just one for time setting?
Both bezels are stainless PVD coated this is stated on the website, the sound difference is because of the case, this is exactly why the titanium bracelet rattles higher pitched than a stainless, this always the case with titanium watches over stainless etc Titanium and Steel resonance tests are very available online Your review is lazy, slow in pace compared to the other Helm reviews on YT A review where you already decided you dont like the Ti watch so lost interest but still made the video, thats the impression it gives off.
@@watchgambit It is an honest and accurate description about your review, others have commented on the negative aspects of your review also. Hope it helps your channel
Nice wrist check but on a bund? 😬 I don't know if I would have put it on a bund. I own that same Helson, and it has been maligned as more of a Clomage than a Homage by some, but they can go kick rocks as far as I'm concerned. It's a well made awesome homage to a watch that is no longer available.
"Waaaa... it's not ceramic. Waaaaa." Go get a ceramic sub homage if you want wrist jewelry. This watch is a real diver; and real tool divers use aluminum and steel inserts, not brittle ceramic or sapphire.
@@watchgambit I'd still take Japanese, regardless of price 🤣. That's not to say there aren't decent swiss watches or they make inferior watches. I love the Tudor BB58 and Omega speedy . They're two of my favourite looking watches but I'm just drawn to Japanese...my favourite watch of all time a Casio 🤣
Its a better watch the LX without a doubt but its much more $$$$ I still find the red marinemaster better , the dial is unbeatable for me. If i am going to spend $$ for a springdrive i rather get a GS at this point.
I just purchased the Cyan version of AKVA and look forward to receiving it. I am thinking of getting the BOR bracelet as well. I have a Christopher Ward Trident 300 in black that is a champ. I think they will be fighting for my wrist! Frank in Colorado
@@watchgambit Yes!!!, i gave a bulova 96A119 plus 500 USD, the bulova was in not so good shape, the freelancer was almost like new!! My dad is very happy now, that he cant stop using it (He has also a Mido Commander and a Mido Baroncelli), I am really surprised with the looks and quality from this brand tbh.
