They are pairing up to mate. You might want to depose those if you have eggs, young chickens, or anything else small enough for them to eat. It's not the same snake it's a mate. You don't want them having eggs in your pens.
It was a sneaky snake. Glad you got it relocated away from the animal's and the house. Let it go do it's business in the woods. Hopefully it will move on now.
It's a hognose. We always called them spreading adders. They are completely harmless rodent eaters. The spreading is one of their defense mechanisms. The other way they defend themselves is to play dead.
