Life is an adventure, and for Larry Whitler and Robin MacBlane, also known as Robin And The Giant, (and based out of Ocala, Florida) that has never been truer. After working as radio broadcasters for 36 years, they retired and decided to see what life was like outside of the studio. In 2019, they began to document their journey on their RU-vid vlogging channel, "The World Spins Fine On Her Own." Here, you’ll get to follow their long walks, road trips, and other adventures as they explore the world and their own personal growth.
Whether you’re looking for inspiration, a good laugh, or just want to follow along on their journey, tune in to The World Spins Fine On Her Own!
We continue to produce a separate daily audio-only podcast: Here is the RU-vid link: www.youtube.com/@TheWorldSpinsFineOnHerOwnAudio
We support our channel with art prints by Larry Whitler. Here is the website: larry-whitler.pixels.com/ Thank you!
Great experience, except our waitress stole my daughter’s Stanley mug, we left it on the table and came back for it and she said it wasn’t there when we left, very sad to say that we won’t be going there again
Sadly, SORRY! Only on the east coast! Virginia to Florida. Looks like a GOOD OPPORTUNITY for AmTrack to grow and expand this service on the Pacific Coast and mid-west! Venture Capitalists UNITE ! ! !
This is my family’s ancestral burial ground. My 3rd great grandmother was Indiana Landrum Adams, born in 1836. She was part Cherokee, rumored to have fought off a Union solider during an attack, and helped raise my maternal grandfather until her death in 1941. Her younger sister, Rebecca Landrum Stugress died in 1953 at the age of 106. Rebecca was interviewed in 1949 by the Tampa Tribune at 102 years of age about her fascinating life story and her citrus farm she worked daily even at her late age.
Blessings brother In Christ ! 🕊️ People don't understand that we have to suffer with Christ to share His Glory. They want the blessings but not the sufferings. God Bless you abundantly brother and Be with you always ✝️🕊️🔥
I use these great for camping or on the go with soda crackers , no salt Ritz crackers , toast etc , no more wasting half a can of spam because all you needed was two slices for your scrambled eggs and half the remaining spam went bad in the refrigerator
Thank you for sharing your experience, you two seem so sweet! I'm moving to New England later this year and will be using the auto train to move my self and my car north, we'll also be in coach too! :)
Thank you! I've driven under this many times, always wondering what it looked like when you're on it. I didn't expect it to be paved though, always thought it wasn't.
Just heard your great story ! I recently met Santa Joe at a store in Ocala. I was introduced to Troy's former band, "The Bluzbusters", when I first moved to Ocala in 2003 at his annual event. I have been a fan of Troy and his band members ever since, and I have been to many of his annual ARC events.
I have taken amtrack from Deland Florida to Trenton several times. I enjoyed the whole trip situation every time. Got picked up at station in Trenton and back to my final destination in Ewing in 20 minutes
Most beaches in that part of the of the Gulf are rare,it's mostly mangroves but there a a few small beaches. That coastal are is better suited for fishing.
Steve & Tom make a whole lot of sense. Leave the 55+ communities alone for gosh sake, and secondly, research any changes thoroughly and get resident input for sure. Besides, there are plenty of other places for non-55+ apartment complexes. Finally, the city/county/state should address the lacking basic infrastructure (road maintenance, fire, police, etc.) before adding any "upgrades/improvements." An apt complex so close instead of retail stores in that same location is not one of those community "improvements!" In researching 55" communities to live in that area of Florida, I did look into OTOTW but it seemed house prices were a bit steep for me, so at the present finding something more affordable is better @ The Villages where the homes range from (surprisingly) low to over $1M -- quite a price-range so I'd guess there'd be something for everyone's budget. Plus, there seems to be more retail stores and such available to The Villages residents also, and everything is reachable via golf-car even. Even a VA Clinic. Have not made any decision yet though as 55+ community research is continuing... -- BR
That is so sad. Shame on On Top of the World. I was going to do a lifestyle visit to The Villages and On Top of the World next Summer. I work in NYC and it's terrible, seems like nobody acts like a community anymore. I want to live in a golf cart 55+ community with access to what I need. Not a big apartment complex with under 55 families.
