Hey Everyone, welcome to Magma Cubing. I do unboxings, reviews, vlogs or anything that relates to cubing. Please like and Subscribe if you like what you see!
I wouldn’t say so, but for the price it’s pretty close. This Megaminx gets all the basics right. The GAN has some aspects that are a little more refined compared to the QiYi. But for 14 dollars, this Megaminx is fantastic
Hey, I'm a new subs. Can I ask, where or how did you learn cubing ? Study source ? I already learn the beginner method and idk what to do next or where should I study. Perhaps you can recommend any youtube channel that teach beginner cuber ? Your study source.
I actually got my weilong v10 today, but it's maglev (+ uv and ball core) rather than spring, and oh my god does it feel good. I got an amazing deal on it, getting it for only 23€ on cuboss, and it's a massive improvement to my Super RS3M (maglev + ball core) I've been using for the past year. It is significantly faster, feels slightly nicer thanks to the UV coating and the way it clicks into position thanks to the 20 magnet core is highly satisfying. I also like the anti-corner twist mechanism, since I did manage to randomly get one when doing some algorithms on my old cube. My only complaint so far is that it's perhaps too fast for its own good and it makes me mess up algorithms sometimes (particularly more complex ones like G perms) which may be just an adjustment thing, but just found a setting that seems to be mitigate this issue and still be very fast. I love it, makes me excited to get back into cubing as I haven't done so for a few months now.
Interesting discovery: I love UV when my hands are dry or when I keep to a low carb diet. If I eat sugar or carbs, my sweat becomes slippery on UV. I wonder if insulin resistance affects the kind of sweat people have that affects their grip on cubes? Might not be a popular topic of discussion… but nearly every “larger” cuber I know prefers matte finish.
Definitely recommend this 5x5, however the GAN was just released for pre order so you could consider that. For 6x6 I recommend the Aoshi WRM. It’s a great puzzle
I love this cube. I switched to it after using the MGC for a long time. However I’m just a bit sad because I wanted to main it for a long time but I know the GAN will be an instant main. I’ll probably split the workload but I’m glad to see 5x5 getting some love. Would love a WRM V2 as well
Yeah it’s a bummer that their releases coincide. However I still think the Hong will still retain competitive viability as the GAN won’t fit everyone’s turning style. I would love an updated MoYu 5x5 flagship.
This is my favorite cube still. The individual pieces feel rock solid the YS3M has a similar solid feeling to the pieces but is like a mm smaller I think.
Honestly no. The puzzle has been discontinued and definitely does not compare to the AoFu WRM. However, for collecting purposes, it is the first mass produced magnetic 7x7. So if that interests you it could be worth the pickup
@@MagmaCubing ok i have the Aofu wrm so it is not because im looking for an new main. its just on sale rn and I considered whether it was a cube I should have and whether it was okay good. still even though it's been a few years since it came out. Thanks for the answer tho
Hey. I wanted to get a skewb. But i dont know which one. ım deciding between the Moyu Rs Maglev or The Meilong Maglev. I have Never Solved i Skewb Before and i Wanne Get into the Event. Which One Should i Buy?
The RS Skewb is probably good to start out on. The Weilong and GAN only are noticeably better in more advanced solving conditions. However I do recommend setting up the RS Skewb for the best performance. Hope this helps!
"I ask you to share and like this video, if you enjoyed it, if not, I don't care!" Odd way to ask for a share and a like only to follow up with the "fuck you" attitude. I still liked the video because it was a good video.
I really miss the concave centers of the Aoyan... I don't think i could get used to a flat skewb anymore. The x-man, maybe, since I already own the V1. The Aoyan in general was just so nice and sturdy and i lack a good bit of control on those newer Skewbs.
@@lopeasez8821 I have a v9 and I reduced its speed to the level I wanted by lubricating it correctly, and I don't need to lubricate the springs, the pi cube version is still garbage.
I would use lube such as Mystic for the pieces and Weight 5 for the core and springs. I would also recommend setting 3 to provide some stability. Hope this helps!
I would say stick with the wingy, if you do not experience pops or issues with stability the Wingy is fine, however if your Wingy does have issues I do recommended the Weilong.
I'm a sub 10 cuber from New Mexico. Thank you for announcing this, I hope to break the 3x3 state record average. It is really great to see a rise in comps here.
Definitely attend! I am the current state record holder for most events so I would love to see some competition. Also we have a trainee delegate for NM so there should be more competitions in the future!
