While much of the content here has a big focus usually on Elder Scrolls, Fallout, and other open-world style games, this channel is in no way limited to these things. Attention is also paid to the modification of games, including conventional supported modding, but also emulation and custom engine frameworks. Retro and Indie games also take stage from time to time. Finally, there is the coverage of general happenings, which tend to be "old news" for the news seeking crowd.
Live-Streams occur frequently on weekends, randomly on weekdays. Live-Streaming Events are usually announced on both Twitter and Discord.
Well because Bethesda doesn't want to make a game about this "crazy lore", we have Vigilant, which is just a rip-off of From Software's games. I don't know who's to blame; if Todd or Emille, but someone is to blame for Bethesda's dumbing down of the lore.
Fun fact, this game released before consumers generally had graphics cards, at all. A GL version would be released soon after that could take advantage of the extra hardware.
I love this concept, but I just don't know about the setting. There are too many secret-agent games already. Does anyone know of an alternative that just focuses on the wizardry or am I out of luck?
I love Shrek 2 from Know Wonder. I never played their Harry Potter games but this game makes me want to see more KnowWonder-Like games in different genres and settings.
I had a... unique path with Elder Scrolls. In the capacity of personal investment, I came into the series with Oblivion. Instead of deciding that was my series standard, however, I went backwards and experienced Morrowind, and Daggerfall. To this day, Daggerfall is my favorite. Especially now with the Unity engine version. Arena is... well it needs work. Skyrim. Angers me. Consistently. Oblivion is not perfect, and there are many facets of its design which irk me- mostly due to this chucklenuts- BUT it is also still a good game with bad pieces. Skyrim is a bad game with good pieces. TeS VI will just be bad. Skyrim CAN be a good game- with a butt-ton of mods. The writing can never be saved, however. The quests always feel dull and condescending. The world always feels like it hates you for being in it. Emil is a self-important jerk who embodies all of the worst stereotypes of a religious, upper-class, moderate-conservative New Englander, and it shows in the attitude of Skyrim. That attitude is ROTTEN.
2:44:50 yeah RTS' during WC2 and WC3 era were amazing. Everything is just meta, meta and more meta now. You could get away with fun ideas and strategies, you can't anymore. Everyone and everything is documented and people purely play to win and not for enjoyment anymore. Also why card games like Yugioh and MTG are boring now, alongside massive power creep.
Elder Scrolls used to be the cream of the crop among classical rpgs, for the last few years it is definitely Pathfinder WOTR and Baldurs Gate 3. How would you compare all the franchises Zaric?including Dragon Age, Witcher or Diablo etc.
While I have the physical discs myself, and a PlayStation 2 I could use, I'm emulating to double the internal resolution and apply a widescreen hack that doesn't stretch the in-game models. Makes everything show up clearer on a live stream. The real problem for non-collectors is that Bandai isn't selling new copies of thier out of print games. So Downloading is most people's only option. Most "legal copies" you can buy on eBay for hundreds of dollars turn out to be illegally burned reproductions anyway.
Really appreciate how well spoken you are about things. You actually give a good, concise snippet of what the game is like. When trying to get an idea of whether I'd like to try something or not, it helps immensely.
I flat out hate 99% of all games. I only play monster hunter mainline games. So I get a new game every 6 years and will play it for 6 years straight. I'm on 15,000 hours in world so far. But I pass on every game In between
Currently playing Batman: Arkham knight. Nothing in particular draws me to it. Honestly i think its kind of shit. But i cost 2€, and i started so i feel the need to finish.
Astronock is GREAT if you're breaking your character. You can just increase your mana pool with raising intelligence so it just raises faster than it can lower eventually. But for vanilla, it seems good if you're a hybrid play style perhaps? But definitely the other two, especially in terms of new players. I genuinely just, love the tone of this game so much i could babble and attempt to justify anything i think lol
The first time i saw this as a young lad in the early 2010s i was kinda in shock with how weird it was lol. Its a lot easier to appreciate now knowing the time period and the history behind this mod more
I heard about this remake from you back in 2015 when the release date was 2017. It finally came to console earlier this year. I honestly never thought I'd get a chance to play it.
If you could deconstruct a tiny bit, what about it do you like more? The few dungeons Starfield has I like more than Fallout 4's, but there aren't enough of them.
None of the QA people at Bethesda spoke up about how this game just sucks? Were they listened to? Was there any opportunity to give this kind of honest feedback?
Todd actually spoke out on how "The game wasn't fun until about a year out from release". While there is no proof, and NDAs are rampant in the Industry, my personal interpretation of this is that "We were told it wasn't fun, and we did everything we could in the limited amount of time we had with the management we had, but eventually we had to call it good enough and ship it after a percentage of the testers gave positive feedback."
1:41:20 - understandable given the first 2 gen's (at least the original games, NOT the remasters) are really, REALLY rough to go through. Pokemon added a ton of quality of life to HG/SS and Fire Red/Leaf Green.
Pokemon Crystal Clear is the game I play these days mostly because it's an Open World version of Crystal where story-line restrictions are lifted and you can go anywhere anytime with the gyms scale their levels to your current badge count. I'm planning at some point to do an all Evee evolutions run, but I'm running up against some IRL deadlines so game time is shrinking for a bit.
If you check their news they recently got a couple new staff members to oversee it. I donno if it's true or not but some people are saying the online elements were down for a little bit. Either way, new things are still being created, even now.
I remember on time appropriate hardware it would lock up between transitions between space and planet, things of that nature. It wasn't very forgiving at the time. These days you have to mod it for higher resolutions or FPS, otherwise it just doesn't work right.
