Doing it myself but the cost makes sense, dig down to the foundation around your place it'll take close to 2 days by yourself. Add materials (costs $200 for just 1L fiprinol), equipment, ppe and risk of damaging pipes/electrical . It's pretty labour intensive and most trades don't charge less than $100 an hour because of overheads.
My question is why would you foam inside a wall killing the termites when they can come back later after the foam drys they can come back with no toxic material there any longer. Why not inject borax or boric acid into the wall mixed with water, it will kill now and later never to return ??????????? Please answer this as I want to learn why people use foam.
Same...they are behind the stucco, on the side (where paper meets wood) and inside the 2x4's in your attic! You can drill a holes where you see the (down) vents they create and spray foam! Look-up Fuse Foam...expensive stuff, but it works! You really need to find where they entered your house, to cut them off from there water source...check your bath-trap! If you don't have access to it, make one!
Is this method safe? if I live in a in a unit apartment with two small children ,are we exposed to any chemicals this way ??to get rid of termites?Thank you ..will appreciate some answers
I would recommend going to a different company. Do not go to this company for service. When I asked to get a refund for my renewal (literally less than an hour of calling them back)...I was told they do not give refunds. There is nothing online that states they don't provide refunds and absolutely no warnings. You'd think that if you call within 24hours of having no service done yet, you should be allowed a refund, especially if there is nothing online that states otherwise. Service is so so, I had a guy come out to treat an area and told him the infestation is on the east side of the house, he treated an area that he had treated the year before which was not currently infested, and didn't bother exploring the remaining east side of the house. Of course, we had to call them back for another treatment because he treated the wrong area.
