On the Driving Map View screen, if you select Track Up or North Up, you get a measurement show up on the screen, either in feet or part miles. This does not show up when in 3D mode. What is this measurement of? It alters when the screen zooms in or out.
Clearvu and sidevu can't find fish. Don't waste your money on clearvu or sidevu. Stick to traditional sonar and you'll be a more successful and 100times happier angler. Take this advice, you'll thank me.
Jeff, you are correct that SideVu and ClearVu have a hard time finding fish, but that is not the intention. The much higher frequency SideVu and ClearVu use is to find harder returns like structure. They are used to find structure faster by letting you see what is out to the sides of your boat. If the fish you are targeting like to hang out near structure then SideVu and ClearVu will help you. Then you use the CHIRP or Traditional sonar to find the fish when you are on the structure. If you are not looking to target fish that are around Wrecks, Reefs or other structure then SideVu and ClearVu are not for you.
Thank you, but if you have a minute. When I turn mine on, it is LOUD, I use the "volume key" and nothing, no ability to adjust the volume that I can see. I punch it repeatedly, and I have tried holding down the key--nothing. Otherwise, it works great, but I seem to have no volume control, any ideas?
Hi, love this video. My name is Chuck and i have an 1825 Jetcraft Falcon and I bought the NMEA Starter kit, for all I care to hook up is my Lowrance display, and my vfh radio. So does these units need to be on a separate battery? Please explain Thanks
Is this the 'tk' version? I'm wondering if the Ocean Scout at the $600 price point is any use or just gimmicky. Seems like viable systems run into the thousands of $
That’s a ditch bag filled with key essentials to be found fast. I know this is their commercial but I would add water packets, small dry box for phone and a small green laser that can be seen for miles and lead them directly to you at night.
What is the max power I can withdraw from the NEMEA network and avoid a separate power supply? I wish to connect a AIS transceiver (em trak 953) to my network, should I take power from the network or feed it with a separate power supply?
Finally I understand that side view beam is not sent at an angle slightly less than 90, but the complimentary angle to that of the down imaging angle.. Thank you
I have a Nema backbone and unlike your video, I cannot connect my Raymarine instrument to it. The Raymarine has a 6 pin plug and the Nema has a 5 pin plug. Can you tell me how you fitted that Raymarine device to the Nema backbone?? Maybe you used a specific connector but you did not explain that.
The Difference Between GLONASS and GPS GNSS is the US GPS network includes 31 satellites, while GLONASS uses 24 satellites. The 2 systems are somewhat different in accuracy. GLONASS position accuracy is 5-10m while GPS is 3.5-7.8m. Therefore, GPS outweighs GLONASS in accuracy as lower error numbers are better. This is what needs to be mentioned I think.
