Manic Gaming Guy is the channel Rob D Rich is the name.. Manicboom42 is the gamer tag. Bob is the name my sister sorts me best.
Hello and welcome to my gaming channel, I hope you like what you see and stick around for me. I will be Gaming and trying to not loose the plot on the way. sit back and relax.
I make them :) I have videos that show how in my beamng map tutorial playlist. or if you can work it out. hope any map push F11 ( world editor) top left tabs find one that says new level click it, save the level with your new map name and there you go. you will have to add stuff like decals and a flat terrain but I also have videos for that :)
This is some thing I wanna look deeper into because I want to be able to make left hand drive roads. I am going to make a video of this tool again and maybe this is some thing I will add to that video
I haven't done that yet my self and to be honest I didn't know it was a thing. I will look into though. I am guessing you mean so that say if you are in Japan you get them style plates then say if uk you get them sort of plates.
@@manicgamingguy6161 Yeah. Just not sure how to set a custom license plate as the default license plate for my map. Doing a Michigan map and have a plate made but it won't spawn on any car when loading in.
Also, is it possible to get a new video on how to make a map from scratch? I'm trying to just start from scratch and I still can't get it to load. I appreciate all the help!
I have a very eay video already I have about 3 for starting maps. But basixly in world editor go to tabs and make new level maybe called save new level.
look in my playlist for beamng map making you will find a video on there called some thing like ways way to make a map. it is about 5mins long and is very easy to get started that way
Hey I used your method of making a new map with the template map and changing the name to make a few of my maps. But after the .33 update they wont load. They show up on the main menu but once you try to spawn in it just loads and never opens. Just wondering if you had that issue with any of your maps
Hi if you look in my playlist for beamng map editor you will find a short video on it. about 5mins long. it is the easiest way I know to start your own map. I did it not long ago and still works. the file will only show in levels folder, you will need to copy it and paste it into mod folder
@@RobDRich I knew the update was coming and didn't want to risk having stuff missing so I put my maps into a safe folder, updated the game and then put my maps back into the mods folder
haha I know what you mean,. if you reload the map the car will not sink into the ground or you can reload the collision and any mesh or 3d stuff will be able to be hit with the car.
Thank you, ~I did try that but then it over layed the road with the one from before!! doesn't seem right. I will try again the way you said and see if I can work away around the face it layers the roads. thank you again for the advice
@@manicgamingguy6161 yes when you load the session from road architect it actually creates a new one with all the stuff you have saved, so you would need to delete the old road in the scene tree by deleting its folder. the only change that is not reversible is the terrain. so make sure you get your terrain the right shape before saving the level.
@@SP.Spittlebug Well they need to fox that haha Thank you mate I did think that would be the work around. Just silly that we would have to do that. I also find my sidewalks don't load back up. have you had that one yet?
yea I can but they need to make the camera settings better as the driver doesn't look the right way very well. So the head moment needs to be better. I want to do some videos soon with no hud showing and maybe add some filters over it to look more real and when I do I will be using the POV for some of it. have you got the game now?
hello great video, I have a problem on my side, when I put urban block, the collisions with the sidewalks are not good do you have any idea? sorry my English is really not good , 😊
To be honest I haven't tried to drive it yet!! So that would be bad if that happens. tell me are your sidwalks still there after you restart the game? mine vanished with some other random bits
@@manicgamingguy6161 edit all the sidewalks one by one? but what's the point of being able to put a whole block if I have to edit them one by one? thanks for your answers :)
@@manicgamingguy6161 Yes, I used the Road Architecture tool, but after creating new roads, why road texture doesn't appear while the sidewalk shows up correctly? It's impossible to fix one by one in DeacalRaod material of the inspector. How to check and sure material available in any west_coast_use or any mod before using Road Architect Tool?
I think it needs a lot of work, So it isn't you mate don't worry. I had my sidewalks vanish!! I reloaded the game but yea no sidewalks. So I think the tool needs some work. I am chatting to spealer about it and I think he is going to message the DEVs and see what the crack is
No worries mate, I can see why you was not getting alone with it. This video should help you a lot but just keep in mind I am still having issues with it my self. So start small and see what you can learn first and make sure you don't waste to much time. My big issues I had was trying to come back to work on it again and then finding I couldn't edit any of my old work, (after I had closed and open beamng again.) you will see what I mean in the video
This is the video I've been waiting for since the 0.33 release. I've played around with the new Road Architect, but some of the features didn't behave as I expected. Hopefully, this will clarify my understanding. Thank you!
Yea it took me about 6/8 hours some thing like that to get my head around it but I think you will find it still needs work. It can and hopefully will be a powerful tool. What hurt my head is that they set up to work different to any of there other tools, like the decal or forest. you have to learn a new way of using beamng basically. bit odd but not to hard to get use to. warning though don't go crazy as first, you may end up wasting your time. start small and get used to it first. the main issue I had was when I close beamng then open it back up the work I had done wasn't able to be edited in the same way. good luck and have fun
the body looks like a mix between a rx7 and a rx8 edit: maybe just a rx7 i thought it had some rx8 in it cuz i own a rx8 and saw that the rear glass looked similar
Would immensely appreciate a tutorial on how to make a custom map. I've seen tutorials on how to set it up, name your map, change the name in the files, etc.. but it seems things always change.
Just an up date I have looked into it, I understand most of it so I will make a video of me looking over it, as can't really say it is a tutorial if I don't really know what to do. It is very tricky though they could of made it loads better but I guess it is some thing new to play with
Love the AE86. I wish the stock engine sounded better tho. Wondering if there's any combination or setup that makes a car sound more like a trumpet. Does anyone know if I have to re-buy all the engine-bay parts after an engine swap? I was thinking of swapping to a 2JZ in my S15 "Sammit" build, but the car has already cost me more than half a million credits and a couple hundred coin.
I use a mod from the steam workshop,. not sure what it is called but you should see it in the video, if not this one a different one with the same going on. I have automation tutorials
Hey man I want to start off with saying I've learned 85% of making maps from your videos and I couldn't have done it without your help! I built a few maps but the maps I have with more than a few buildings and some other props aren't running very well. Do you have any tricks you do that could help? I want to be detailed but it's hard when it starts to run at 40fps for me, and lower for others. I like to think I have a pretty top tier PC but maybe I'm just adding too much stuff?
if you think it could be the buildings that are slowing it down then yes there are some tricks you can use. The city in the beam map is one big 3D prop, so that can help. not 100% sure how easy it is, I think select all the buildings in an area dn then export them to blender in one project then export that back to beam so that you dont have 30 builds now you have just one big one. I think helps. Also you can go watch spealer do his buildings and there is a think you have to do with it so that when you are fare away the building doesnt try to fully load in. only loads in right when you get close to the building.
For gearing try... First - 3 Second - 2.5 Third - 2 Fourth -1.5 Fifth - 1.16 Sixth - 1 ... or as close as you can get to the numbers. Then try and play with the final drive to fine tune.
you will have to add them your self. in the same window there is 3 tabs at the top, the very right one is for adding your own. you should hopefully have the trees and rocks and bushes files but you have to set them up and do all the settings. one at a time. I think I will have a video that shows it but can not remember of the top of my head what one.
It wasn't easy but I used the NX5 that you get from the start to get me to about C4 then I used the modem supra? that you get given or win cant remember but yea used that one till I manage to tune up the DX7 then used that one to finish all the races. I just have drifting left now. and the deliver the cars and boxes. basic don't go crazy with your money max out just one car for racing and then one that one hits a wall upgraded.
When looking for the 'forestItemData' selection in the forest tool, I don't see any trees or bushes, or anythign at all. It just says <None>. I put ECUSA trees ans all in a similar file format, so not srue what the problem is... Got me wondering lol.
you need to add them your self. it is a pian!! in the forest tool you get 3 tabs, the last tab is where you have to add them. you will have to do all the settings for them, as in what size they come out and bits like that. I should have a video on it
