I'm that one that does those SMW ports that appeared once or twice in a Kaizo hack you played/watched, along with liking the SNES enough to base my entire channel around SNES chiptunes I guess; I also do other stuff too tho, so you could say my channel isn't actually fully based around SNES chiptune/SMW ports, but tbf that'd be boring anyway :P
(also known as Ultima#4017 on Discord, and maybe Theultimate12 if you somehow remember me back when I used this username)
What's a weird coincidence is that I was just listening to the song at the beginning of this video. Then I clicked on this video. I was like huh same song, then I'm like oh I see, boss time!
That was intentional btw lol; I kinda like experimenting with editing like this, especially when it comes to things like tying the music seamlessly to the gameplay, although for this one in specific it was more so to connect the two videos together while also emphasizing the hint I gave in the Wily 5 cover video I guess... again, I just like to experiment with things like this for that extra spice, and I try to make it as seamless as I can so it doesn't feel too bothersome haha
@@DixieChix With all the Mega Man 10 uploads, it made me realize that a lot of songs I like are from that game. I didn't realize how good Mega Man 10's soundtrack was. You have a lot of passion for SNES music it seems. I enjoy it too which is why I'm here :p
Reminds me of that No Turning Back port I uploaded. It's Hooded Edge, but it's the version that hasn't been uploaded before on YT, so I decided to do it. It's original pitch and the default version has a different key.
Just wanted to mention that this is my favorite arrangement of this track. I put it in my "music that goes hard" playlist. Will be checking out your other stuff!
I fuckin' wish LMAO, but this is the Super Nintendo sound chip, and while there are ways to change the interpolation for something that's less extreme, it also wouldn't make it accurate to the console anymore, though if you want you could grab the SPC files that I linked in the Bandcamp album release and use SPC700 Player to change the interpolation to something more akin to your liking (I'd recommend Cubic Spline btw, since from my experience that sounds the most well-rounded and best quality sounding one out of the bunch); dunno whether it'd sound better since SMW's samples are already pretty muffled, but it's an option lol
Yeah lol, this sample in particular is used in a ton of games from the late 90s and early 2000s, which includes Ollie King, but also Einhander (which is where I personally found out about the sample myself) and Street Fighter 3rd Strike as well Tbh, after making this now I legit wonder why the original even used that specific sample to begin with considering how it sounds and how there's way better samples you could use, but hey, at least I'm enjoying seeing what people are saying about it I guess, and am glad that I've made my contribution to it regardless lmao
Well, technically, even this track is actually just a remix of another track from the SMT II soundtrack (3D: Center in this case), but this specific remix was used a couple of times in this series alongside some of the other remixes present in SMT If..., which I'm all for considering just how short a lot of these tracks were and just how good these extensions sound by comparison haha
