Fonseca is really good at getting his team to change tactics mid game to confuse the opposition and allow his team to exploit new spaces that his team creates. The second half switch meant Milan's individual talent could shine which is why they had so much space in the later parts of the game.

I was going to state the same. Emerson was right going for the interception of Lautaro's movement (he trashed Gabbia's waist in the process) and Tomori fell asleep allowing Di Marco being onside and slotting the ball at the back of the net
It's all good, but I didn't really see a big difference from previous matches besides Inter making a mistake and Pulisic taking advantage of it, and Milan winning because of last minute cross. Last 7 meetings same things would happen and Milan would have chances just Inter was more clinical and made less errors, this for me looks like Inter was not at all in the game
first there was 6 games and last but not least we built extremely more occasions than Inter despite the last minute cross. Fonseca just ate Inzaghi this time
Just think Alonso made poor positional choices. Frimpongs a wingback not an attacking midfielder. Playing long balls to Bonafice against three centrebacks would always yield one result
To be honest, from a wider perspective Mou's tactics in Roma are basically trying to (luckily) hit first and then pussying back in his area to deffent one goal
wow, i didnt notice that first tactical placement...i always thought it was them chancing a long pass after failing to connect on mid, but they actually move around to create the passing chance in a way that breaks the opponents balance...high risk high reward althought the best teams barely fall for it which indeed leave us to make the obvious and less helpful longpass...but yeah fuck man, that is very viable O_O
