Congratulations on the 4 pristine 10's. Considering everything, which slab/label do you prefer, beckett or psa? CGC slabs are pretty nice but do not like their grading scale. Having two different 10s seems silly to me. Remember, the beckett black label is still a pristine 10.
I like the BGS cases a lot. Card feels safe and label looks more professional but unless it’s something pristine or high end I’d often prefer PSA because they’re less bulky and can see the card more clearly.
Nice video. Remember, nothing is 100% perfect. That's why Beckett has the best and most realistic grading scale. For those very rare instances, you have the Beckett Prestine 10.
It’s good their grades are strict but definitely wouldn’t say “the best and most realistic grading scale” imo. Not a fan of the .5s unless it’s a 9.5 and ugly grades aren’t very collect-able. Claiming to narrow down the condition to the .5 is less believable for cards that aren’t mint, there’s a lot of grey area when it comes to card condition. Beckett definitely earned their place in the market for pristine cards but PSA is still the way to 90% of the time. PSA is more collect-able, more resale value, better quality control and a better service that also doesn’t charge upfront.
Old Japanese “sealed” is sketchy and the sellers are often untrustworthy but I always shop with buyer protection or return policies. I’ll get these again eventually lol
I have noticed in my own last 5 subs that psa has started grading alot more harshly towards pokemon. I typically have a 65% to 75% psa 10 rate out off 75 to 100 cards in english and japanese tends to be closer to 85%. However these last 5 subs have been extremely brutal and psa 10 rates have dropped to 35% to 45% on average. Maybe they hired alot of becket graders or something i dont know or they have sgc graders working for them but man its been tough.
The standards always get more strict as time goes on but when I’m confident in a cards condition I’ve been pretty lucky with cracking the slab and regrading
Will you ever go for the Empoleon error and dialga g error? I’ve only seen 1 dialga g error in a 9 and I think I own the only one in an 8. Absolutely sick collection man!
it's pretty easy to tell the difference and I personally don't buy older cert/older slabs. But it helps when you can also tell if the card is real and is in the right condition.
your packs were from the earlier print runs which were not weighable. the newest print runs of Evolving skies has the updated code cards which started in fusion strike and Brilliant stars so im trying to find out if the new Evolving skies with the updated new code cards are weighable.
