Senior engineer here. It's not a multiplier. If you think AI code is useful, you're already being mentally crippled by it. The AI codegen I've interacted with has been nothing but liabilities. I've spotted incorrect code in promotional materials from AWS' AI, for example. And I had a coworker try to use ChatGPT multiple times at work and the code never worked, and he always talked about it like he knew what he was doing, and then when it wouldn't work, he'd act perplexed. And it NEVER integrates. You kids using LLMs to do your CS homework are going to be flipping burgers when you graduate. You're like node devs except 100 times worse. Stop cutting corners, learn how computers actually work.
Yep, I'm on the sub and whenever it shows up on my feed, I just scroll past. At this point, I think that a lot of them post stuff to eliminate future competition

All your code is given to them. I'd rather do the extra effort to understand my codebase and keep control while using local llm vs code extension. They already have forked the VSCODE instead of adding an extension. Shows their ethics.
I have already looked into your project, man it has some deadly amount of states and there are few bugs, the modal doesn't always open after selecting text, some error in console too, am learning react I will fix it
The modal always opens when you turn highlighting on but yea there are insane amounts of bugs haha! That’s what happens when there’s not a single line of human written code. Any contributions are very welcome!

I don't think there's a one stop shop for all the AI stuff. Your best bet is probably going through an online course, like stanfords cs230 i think, or some other online MOOC from a university
