Fishing both fresh water and salt water in DC, Maryland and Virginia (1) bought a 14 feet canoe in 2003 for freshwater fishing and upgraded it to solar powered, Raymarine Dragonfly 7 chirp sonar and downvision sonar fish finder/GPS. powered by Minn Kota C2 30 pound push with Digital speed Maximizer. (2) 2013 bought a 1974 wellcraft airslot 165 sport Mercury 90hp (replaced with a Johnson 90 hp - 2 cycles and 4 cylinders) to do my saltwater fishing and taking friends boating and cruising. Installed a 75 lbs 24 volts wireless motorguide trolling motor, Lots of fun on Potomac river with my power boat. The power boat is equipped with VHF marine radio with antenna (up to 5 miles radius reception), fish/depth finder with speed, GPS, DIY home projects and free software i used tutorials. Yes, will do the timing adjustment with first piston at the top down center, but I think the problem is a weak 12v power from battery to ignition coil so still testing to make sure I get good power to make sparks.
Worst video ever all I hear is the microphone hitting your clothing and muffled voice that’s very slow. Speak faster and say what you gotta say without saying umm. 🤷♂️
Most power tool and power stations ship at 30% for safety. And you need to pull that carb and clean the jets she is still running rough. If I keep a generator filled with fuel I use non ethanol fuel with stabilizer. And cycle it every year
It should still fire fire. Check spark fuel. Spray some 2 stroke gas in the cylinders through the the spark plug holes. Could be dirty valves and the head gasket on that motor is very easy to change
Thanks, much appreciated. Mercrusier is popular and has been here forever. Lots of replacement parts. The inboard engine is gas efficient but tons of places could go wrong with old parts. I was going to spray some sea foam into it to try wet compression test on the 2nd cylinder especially. Now, I will pour some 2 cycle oil into the 2nd spark plug and hopefully it will start running. If it started, then I will invest more time and money to keep this motor alive.
Oil looks dirty but replaced the oil and oil filter so taking them out again. But, I want to do a wet compression test later just for fun. I think the 2nd cylinder rings may be broken or head gaskets is broken or exhaust valve is worn.
that is Totally Unbelievable. a few things You could try: consult an experienced mig welder on mig gun operations. take a course on mig welding. learn the preparations for metal to mig operations. Soon You will be on your way to melting steel like butter.
Wow, such a quick to the point video! No lie, within 20 seconds I knew it was operator error! Did anyone else jump to the conclusion that it may have been the flux continuum sparking band before clicking?
So, white is positive is white and black is negative and green/bare is neutral? I'm wouldn't listen to a thing the guy said even if it didn't cut off at that point. RU-vid should fact check this video and flag the account for misinformation.
What is a #14 bolt do you mean the head is 14mm or 9/16” socket size, or do you mean thread size like it’s an M14 thread or #14 inch sheet metal screw thread, neither of those makes sense because M14 is a huge thread like something that would be in your tow hitch and the biggest number size inch sheet metal screw is a #12, the largest would be a fine thread maybe like a 12-28. Confusing. Wow just tell us from the beginning like for my car… you need a 11mm and 15mm to remove the front seats. Bam, done. Easy
This says 1 of 10, but I can't find the other videos. I'm very interested in this project, because I'm looking at possibly picking one of these projects up myself.
You really should practice saying the names of the parts of the hood release mechanism BEFORE posting a video!!! I barely was able to wait thru the video to where you FINALLY SAID SPRAY PBBLASTER OR WD40 ON IT!!!!!!!
