Beautiful Jacobean house. Alas not many of the original features remain. The interiors are very disappointing, no grand scheme, just lots of ‘window dressing’ arrangements going on.
This isn’t the whole house is it? It’s been divided in my opinion and this is only a small part. Doesn’t look like the main rooms are included. It’s okay but nothing more.
To the owners of the house who have clearly invested considerable time, energy and finances, I apologize in advance. England has some of the finest designers in the world, it seems you didn’t get a chance to meet them. I have never commented on anything like this before, ever. I'm often appalled at the trolls who post obnoxious comments on someone else's hard work, but I can't help myself. Having grown up (proudly) in a council house, I found myself right back there. This is council house aesthetic writ large. Cheap and ghastly tiles, unmade beds, can someone explain the conch shell in the shower and why it was there? They even managed to film a friggin' bluebottle fly on a window sill. Why? Who does that? Bannisters globbed in God awful paint, “School project” book cases, and WTH were those computer simulations? If Sean was really working "All hours" with his too numerous team, and this is the final result, he should be made to live in it... He even says he had to get the "Shelves n' all that made" Dude you're in a gilded mansion, surely you meant to say “custom millwork” or even “cabinetry.” Tell me, how many people get the chance to display an armoury of that calibre and slap it up under Ikea lights? The living room and it's awkward rattan furniture looks like the Bless This House filmset? They even make refrigerator depth kitchen cabinets now, that actually fit around the fridge. All power to the couple who bought it, I promise you, England really does have great designers, great design stretches the purse so it doesn't have to bankrupt you, I'm sorry for how it turned out. You have a stunning home, I hope you enjoy it for decades to come.
I was thinking the same. . I would have liked a more traditional feel to some of the rooms closer reflecting the period of the building along with our modern comforts of course. However this is their house not mine and I congratulate the owners for maintaining such a beautiful building rather than seeing it decay as happened to so many back in the 50’s and 60’s etc. when there was less appreciation of England’s wonderful architectural heritage.
@@marconelmondo I think you have the wrong idea. The U.S. has many of the best designers/architects in the World. Don’t be fooled by what you see with so-called “celebrities” or places like Las Vegas 😂
The three are being sold together. They are currently being sold unfurnished, however there may be a consideration to negotiate on the furniture, dependant on offer value.
