In your video you used the expression: address to this point. With all due respect, it should be: address this point. There’s no preposition in between. Thank you!
The US presidents do not directly appoint the superme court justices as they wish. The president first nominates a candidate who then has to attend long hearings held by the Senate Judiciary Committee which is attended by witnesses supporting and opposing the nomination. Therefore, the nominee will be questioned and challenged on many personal, political and judiciary issued. It is a transparent process which is broadcasted publicly. Then the full senate will debate and vote the nomination. If the opposing party is the majority, they can vote down the nomination proposed by the president. There is still a check and balance system in place, and it is not so fair to say that the Supreme Court Judges is just a rubberstamp of the president who nominated him/her (like Trump). They personally have an excellent record and character check scrutinized by both parties. I think Mr. Tsui needs to research more information in addition to reading out 1 or 2 editorial articles in order to make fair comments about US politics. I do support your comments on HK politics.
Anyone experiencing comments deleted by youtube AI on this topics. Very frustrating... And years ago my account suspended by them (unknown reason). Luckily appealed successfully.
