If you are experiencing hair loss, please know that you are not alone! Many people have hair loss whether it is from medications, chemo, genetics or certain medical conditions. I personally have 2 autoimmune conditions and a family history of hair thinning in my mom and grandmother. I have spent a lot of time and money trying to get my hair back. I have come to realize my hair is not coming back anytime soon:( I wish I had discovered wigs MUCH sooner, I am having so much fun! I can wear whatever hair I feel like wearing that day. Please join me on my journey!
@kathleenfeldmann8605 Thank you, Kathleen 😊! The spray may fade a little after a few washings. Otherwise, it stays on the wig. Thank you So much for watching 😌!
This is very cute on you. I'd like to get one curly. I have naturally curly hair. Too thin to work with anymore. And when I was younger and had thick hair I wanted my hair straight. And when I tried to get it to be nice curly it would be too frizzy to look nice. I'd like to see this one in the color in the catalog. Rum Raisin. I'm sticking with my brunette colors for now. It's what I've been used to . This color looks great on you though.
@julienielsen3746 Thank you Julie 😊! I wasn't brave enough to try the color Rum Raisin 😏. My natural color was brunette. Yes, our naturally curly hair doesn't always cooperate! Thank you So much for watching 😌!
Tatum is BEAUTIFUL on you!! I didn’t know you were a HOSPICE nurse!! You TRULY are a GIFT to those processing toward the transition of life. What you DO, is a TRUE CALLING and those fortunate enough to have you in their pathway of life, are fortunate! Your compassion comes through in your voice as does your STRENGTH. THANK YOU! When you do retire I’m certain you will be truly missed. Congrats on your selling your current home. And also on your new one!! So much ahead! 👏🙏🥰
@DorothyakaCookieD_49 Thank you Dorothy 😊! Tatum is definitely my new favorite 😍! Hospice nursing is definitely a calling🙏 I have been very grateful to work in this area of nursing. To me, providing comfort, especially at the end of life, is what nursing is all about. Thank you So much for watching 😌!
That’s so weird… I said the exact same thing. I am a Realtor and I had ovarian cancer and went through chemo. 🙄Yes, and I did the all consuming research on wigs - quite the journey 😂I found a wig similar to my bio hair that I could work in. And only one of my clients found out about the wig/chemo and said why didn’t you tell us? Then started being concerned and asking questions. I said, “Because this isn’t about me. I want to stay focused on your needs and the job I am doing for you.”
@michele6740 I think my most awkward experience was while I was wearing Jones. The wife of my patient was insisting I tell her where I had my hair done. So, in front of the whole family, I told her it was a wig 😜! But seriously, except for my coworkers, I prefer to keep that information private. Both my patients and their families are going through enough already. Thank you So much for watching Michele 😌!
@vintagehippie3647 You're right! Jamilla Plus looks very similar to Lexi. Lexi has enough hair to cover most of the front hairline . She is definitely cheaper for sure. Thank you So much for watching 😌!
God bless you, Brenda, hospice nurses have an unforgettable impact during life's most difficult moments. Over the years, I’ve had hospice nurses come to my home to care for three immediate family members.🩷
Thank you 🙏. I have always been drawn to hospice nursing and finally had the opportunity to do it full time 10 years ago. It can be difficult, but also very rewarding to be able to provide comfort at the end of life.
Hearing you just fine! Tatum is adorable! Paula Young has added quite a few nice wigs this Fall. Honey is a beautiful color for the cooler months. You must be so excited about the move.❤
Tatum is just adorable on you!!! What a youthful style😍 She reminds me of Jennifer Grey’s hair in “Dirty Dancing”!! The photos in the catalog looks much curlier. The curls on yours is perfect❤👀🤗 I wondered if you were a nurse. My son is a nurse too. He’s also taking courses to get his BSN.
Thank you Nancy☺! You're right, definitely like Jennifer Greys hair! Yes, she does look curlier in the stock photo. I hope my future Tatum wigs will look like this one😉. I never did get my BSN, life and children happened..... Experience definitely was a great teacher. Thank you So much for watching Nancy!
@@fakehairmama7104 Yes, experience is a great teacher!! My son was a paramedic for quite a few years. He then got his RN degree…he’s had it for a number of years. He just recently decided to go back for his BSN. If you get more Tatum wigs I hope they’ll look just like this one❤👀🫶
She looks so pretty on you!!! Wish they had a color I loved. She’s a bit too dark for me but I’m afraid of color 101. I love their color called vanilla swirl…wish they made more styles in it! Tfs!
I’m looking for shorter style wigs for a warmer climate and the Toni Brattin, Flirty, & Short Shag are really cute. Breezy Wave is also a cute beachy style too. You always find good value wigs and I appreciate that and why I follow your channel. I hope some of these are still available. Thanks so much! 🩷
You're welcome☺! I am always looking for budget friendly styles because that's what I can afford. I am happy to share them with my viewers! Thank you So much for watching!
The rooting made the wig look more natural…even though it did look good without it. I prefer rooting on my wigs as well. That style looks so cute on you…curls suit you🤗👀❤
@DorothyakaCookieD_49 Thank you Dorothy 😊! We are on track to sell our home on the 30th. In the meantime, we are packing! Thank you So much for watching 😌!
Maybe do a re-parting? Rooting always looks black in videos. I haven’t tried rooting any of my wigs…yet. It looks easy enough. I think I would try a dark blonde rooting color when I do my light blonde wigs. Thanks for the demo!
I’ve had my eye on Dee. Glad I found your review. Such a pretty color. The rooting looks black in the video. Would you say it looks lighter in person? Did you end up steaming the bangs? I think if the bangs were a little thicker, they would have layered better off to the side. You must have quite a wig collection. I’m curious as to how you store your wigs? I keep mine in their original boxes, but my closet got overrun with wig boxes so I ended up temporarily stacking them in an XXlarge zippered storage bag. I’m thinking of putting together a closed shelving unit in my spare bedroom. Do you ever sell any of your wigs? 👩🦳😍
@a.p.1416 Hi! Yes, milky way is a pretty color. The rooting is a dark brown. I haven't had the opportunity to steam or style the bangs yet as she is packed away (we are moving 😜). I do plan on selling some wigs when we get settled. Thank you So much for watching 😌!
Because of how beautiful curly wigs look on you, I was inspired to purchase my very first curly wig, Paula Young’s “Jenna” and one wavy wig, “Meryl”. I love the curls now. Yay! 👩🦱🧡🍂
Hi! I'm So glad you are enjoying the curly wigs☺. Sometimes, we just need to step out of our comfort zone and try something new! Thank you So much for watching!
@KellyHartley-y5n Thank you Kelly 😊! I had a hard time getting used to the length but the wig is definitely a great value 👌. Thank you So much for watching 😌!
Great styling tips, Brenda! Can the twisty cloth headbands be used to wrap a ponytail? That’s so true about the headrest. I learned the hard way and knocked my the claw clip right out of my wig. 🙄 When I try to do an updo, I’m not liking how the nape looks. Is there a way to add wisps of various lengths along the nape to give the wig a more natural look? If so, would you be willing to demonstrate how it’s done? I wouldn’t want to damage the wig along the nape. TIA - Andrea👩🦱🩷
@alp6244 Hi! Yes, the twisty cloth bands could easily be used to wrap a ponytail 🙂. I tried cutting some shorter hairs in the nape of Sylvie( one of my head band wigs) , but when I wore her again, the shorter hairs got mixed back up with the other hairs and they were hard to find. I am also self conscious about the nape area with updos. I usually pull out a few hairs with the handle of a rat tail comb to camouflage that area. Hope that helps 🙏. Thank you So much for watching 😌!
That style looks so cute on you🤗 You & curls just go together! Love all the styling options. I have some of the flat clips and they are comfortable. I also have some of the wire headbands & an assortment of the square hair bands. They’re very comfortable as well. I especially like the square bands❤😎🫶
@@alp6244 Hi! I have no idea when rooting started appearing in wigs. I don't believe it was a thing 40 years ago when my mom was getting Paula Young catalogs in the mail. I definitely think rooting is here to stay! Have a great day 😀!
Good topic to tackle! I’m 76, and I try not to think of age as a factor in wig styles, although, I’m not comfortable wearing very long wigs. I like them on others, but it’s very foreign to me since I never had long hair. Being that I came from an era where roots showing was not acceptable, it took me awhile before I purchased a rooted wig. I have to say once I tried one on, I really liked the dimension it gave to the wig as long as the rooting wasn’t too dark; or too drastic of a contrast. I have plenty of rooted wigs now. Going forward, I probably will look for blonde wigs with various highlights. It will just be a matter of finding the right combination of blonde shades. As far as silver and grey blends, I have found some pretty silver blends and I have one light brownish grey blended wig, but everyone prefers me in the blonde shades. BTW, the wig you’re wearing looks very nice on you.
@alp6244 Thank you 😊! I also have a hard time adjusting to longer wigs for the same reason. I think as long as we are comfortable and confident in the wigs we are wearing, it shouldn't matter . Thank you So much for watching 😌!
I would say just don’t overthink it. Go with what you’re comfortable wearing. Personally, I prefer rooted wigs but I can wear unroofed ones too. I don’t let the “ never wear white after Labor Day” rules determine how I choose to live my life. That may sound a bit harsh but I have only one life to live. If I let others determine how I live it then they’ll have two lives & I’ll have none. And people who judge others are not adding any value to the lives of those they are judging❤🫶🤗
@NancyTaylor-mn6qi Well said Nancy 🙂! Wearing what you are comfortable in and Wearing it with confidence makes a big difference. Thank you So much for watching 😌!
My comment isn’t about rooting BUT, I have noticed that as I age, my brown wigs are starting to look a little “harsh” around the face. My natural color was dark brown, but my wigs now look kinda like “too much” if that makes sense. I have been thinking about getting a lighter brown with some grey mixed in????? Definitely hard to know what to do, so thanks for bringing this subject up. Like we don’t have enough to worry about in this post menopausal age group. 😕
@Grandmasterrett You're welcome 😊! I feel like our complexion gets lighter as we age. So, a lighter brunette color would soften your look. We definitely have more challenges as we age 😏. Thank you So much for watching 😌!
